Question to those whose babys are in a cot, do you just put them in with nothing but a sheet? ours is all set up with cot bedding and bumpers etc and not too sure what the general protocol is?

Tell me about it!!! If i had another baby, i'd HAVE to give up work. So pricey!!!

We just have a waterproof sheet over mattress, with a fitted sheet over that. I personally don't use a bumper, read that you shouldn't now due to the risks of suffocation.
Then Charlie is in a 1tog grobag. If its hot, he wears a short sleeve bodysuit, tonight when its a bit cooler, he wears a long sleeve bodysuit. But his room is generally warm - tonight it is 22, on warm nights it can be 26.
In winter, i'll have a 2.5tog, with sleepsuit and bodysuit underneath. Doubt i'll be using blankets, even though i've got them.

Oh, and he has no toys etc in the cot when he's put down, just incase they somehow restrict his breathing.........:)

Hi Ladies,

Not posted on here for AGES!! I have just read back to catch up and love reading how you ladies and babies are doing!

All OK here, Poppy is doing super! I'm going to post a picture tomorrow as she has just come off her oxygen during the day and its sooo nice to have pics of here without all the tubing on her face!

We started weaning a few months ago due to her being very small and the Doctor saying she needed more calories. She's only really just getting the hang of eating and realising that she has to open her mouth to get food in! Still breastfeeding her as well which is going great!

She sleeps really well, her last feed is at 10.00pm and that's it until 7.00am! She is still in her moses basket next to my bed as she is still such a tiddler! She is 7 months now, but only weighs 10lb 2oz on Friday just gone, she isn't even on the centile chart! The Doc is happy though,which is the main thing!

I will def post more often now the thread is back and will post a pic of my princess in the morning!

Ah great to have you back Janninew!!!

So glad Poppy is doing good and that doc is happy with her progress, that's just wonderful hun!!! And well done on the feeding. That's awesome she's taken to it so well.

Yep, the post is back up and running. I think its important to have something like this, especially since the FB group (as great as it is), is now closed to new members. I think this forum has been such a great help to me over this past year, its really important to keep it up and running for all of us and new mums!! Yay!!

Can't wait to see some pics! I will try upload some of Charlie too x
