I went off tea too
The smell of it made me sick (let's face it, most foods / drinks did!) and I normally drink about 6 cups a day! Luckily I can drink it now, but I know when my mam was pregnant with me she went off tea and has never drunk it since!

:hello: Hiya Mancbird! That counselling sounds like a really good idea. DS1's birth was a similar experience to yours and its only looking back on it that I can see I was probably traumatised (sp?) and thats why it took me 11 years to do it again! Having said that, my experience with Finn was so dramatically different, I said to DH within about a week that I could do it again!
I don't change Finn through the night either unless he's poo'd which is very rare overnight. We use Pampers baby dry and so far (touch wood) we haven't had any leakages. I do slather some vaseline on him though to stop him getting sore.
About the weight loss, all my baby weight has gone and then some. I was a healthy size 13 before pregnancy and now I'm struggling to fill a size 8. No idea what that translates to in weight because I don't own any scales! I figure its just the effect of breastfeeding and not really eating or sleeping particularly well. Still got the jelly belly though, I just tuck it in my big knickers :rotfl:
I'm going to try really hard today to start acting in a routine whether Finn likes it or not. We noticed over the weekend while we were visiting various people that he would only properly settle if I was cuddling and rocking him. He was being passed around a bit and I don't think he was feeling 100% after his jabs, but I think we need to nip that in the bud really quickly otherwise he'll turn into a velcro baby.
Has anyone that suffered with SPD in pregnancy still got problems in that area?0 -
Kira - could you add me and Finn to the list please? He was born on 8th October and is baby number 2 for me
thank you!

Awww Winnie remember our moaning posts about SPD?! My pelvis still clicks a little sometimes but the actual SPD went straight away. Seeing as though Jacob was 10lb 5oz born it's not surprising I had it so severely. How's yours been now?
Lovely to see you here mancbird! Sorry you had a birth that wasn't what you planned at all. I'm so glad looking back that I pushed for my elective c-section as I think I would have had problems delivering Jacob naturally.
Ooh Smlsave - you obviously have good taste in names!
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -

Jenjade - I actually bite off Jacob's nails! I know that sounds horrible but I give them a little nibble and they come away. I do not eat them lol!!

Oh yeah, I remember all too well! My consultant actually told me not to have any more babies because next time would be ten times worse!Winnie- i am still struggling with some spd pain not as bad as it was and i figure with Ellie being only 2 weeks old its early days.
Mine had improved by about 2 weeks but the past couple of weeks it seems to have worsened again. Probably becuase Finn is such a lump! GP wants me to go to physio but finding the time to jump through the self referral loop holes is not easy!can anyone advice the best way to cut Ellie's nails they are so sharp and she keeps scratching me

I have a tiny pair of nail clippers, think they came from Tesco, which I find much easier to use than scissors.
Sorry you're having trouble with your OHI don't mean to come accross as rude, but have you told him how you feel? I had a phase of being really mad with DH, turned out that I hadn't actually told him how I was feeling, just expected him to work it out...
