  • Without wanting to rub it in for anyone having night time sleeping issues, I got my first full night's sleep! Midnight till 7 so feel vaguely human today. Did wake up at 5.30 as must have wondered what was going on for her to still be asleep! Not so great for the boobs though, full on boulders they were!

Ahhhhh, the ache of full boobs! Surprising how solid they can go :-) well done to your baby yummymummy for sleeping so well!

My jacob went from 7 - 12 and 1 - 6 last night after weeks of getting up every 1-2hrs. I feel almost human today :-)

For those with older children can i ask a question? Jacob feeds to sleep 95% of the time, how would i go about changing his habit? I dont mind lots but it would be nice to get some freedom

I had a look last week when someone mentioned it, to see what it was. It seems that there are production problems atm and it is out of stock nearly everywhere. I think you can buy it from a few people on ebay, and amazon had one seller albeit at HUGELY inflated prices.

What she said. I know it's not the same, but try Nelsons. They worked well enough for us.

Im a long time lurker from the pregnancy thread and have just found this one.
Please could someone add me to the list? Aydon was born 04/10/11 and is my first baby. Kandboys, I was due the same day as you (28th) and loved reading and comparing how your pregnancy was going, glad to read of the safe arrival of your little one. Thank you all so much for the tips and advice posted. I really thought it would get easier but still seems to be a huge learning curve, does it get any easier?
Yes it does get easier, you are still in the early days really. Keep remembering that all babies are different. But for us we found a noticeable improvement around 3 months, then had a rubbish time around 4-5 months and then 5 months plus generally it's been good. We have the odd week here and there that's tough - teething, illness, seemingly random nights of waking up screaming :) But nothing compares to those early days still! :)

I haven't used those ones but I've bought both the Boots teething powders and the Nelsons ones and they seem to work really well with her. They're also on 3 for 2 at Boots at the moment. I'll keep an eye out locally though for A&P if you're set on those?

Wendz, thanks for the feedback on BLW. It does sound like it would suit us so we'll see how it goes. I'm not really looking forward to weaning though, it just seems that my baby is growing up too fast at the moment!
