No January babies on that list yet....come on baby Kira ;) xx

I'm trying, i'm trying! Half an hour on the ball rotating my hips, and huge tub of pineapple, 2 EPO, and 2 cups of RLT this evening..

If Delain pops on to say she wants in, we will have a Jan baby...:)

See, now i`m really dubious about this whole EPO thing...if u have inserted 2 this evening, what r u gonna say to the midwife if u go into labour right now, and in 1/2 hours time r having an internal and they still havent disolved??? How long do the take to disolve?! haha! Um, dunno what else to suggest try as everything else involves the use of ur hips, which i know u cant do :( same here, mine r only fit for the knackers yard now. Wear ur best pants to bed tonight, sods law ur waters will go, oooh and put clean bed covers on too ;) xx

:rotfl:Yes. i do have the worry about partially dissolved EPO being discovered. My side of the bed is a treat at the moment, a bolster, 2 large square cushions, a pillow, and under the sheet, an old shower curtain, a doubled over giant bath sheet and a maternity water catching pad. DH insisted on all that protection cos the mattress is less than a year old and cost £1700! Its a nice mattress...

lmao, when i had DD3, our bed collapsed 3 weeks b4 the due date (we were moving it to fit the cot in and it just went, stupid wooden thing!) anyways, we had a brand new divan delivered a week b4 the due date. Just happened that was the only labour my waters BURST all in the bed at 1 am eek luckily i`d left the plastic on! So this time, i`m going to be prepared, poundworld has shower curtains atm so going to get one next time i go over there, and also, going to look for maternity water catch pads. Where do i get them from???
With DD2 waters burst in the back of the car on the way to hosp, my poor uncle had only had the car a few weeks, i was on all fours on the back seat and managed to get the window wet haha! x

I bought them in Boots. I think they are 5 to a pack.

http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Maternity-mats-5-pack_924022/Not very expensive. Currently got one in the bed, one on the sofa, and one in DH's car ready...

Kira thanks for the update on Delain. I was wondering if she was ok as she had been quiet for ages.
Taking the dummy off Daniel today and this will be his first night without it. He likes his dummy but would only take the cherry one and it doesn't stay in. It really helped him when he was little but think we will both get better sleep now without it as he is getting too used to it helping him back to sleep, and muggins here jumping out of bed every 5 minutes to put it back in his mouth. I would recommend them for little babies though. My DD absolutely needed a dummy, it really comforted her, especially in th evenings. I definitely wouldn't feel guilty about using them.
Could somebody with a proper computer add me to the list please?? Daniel was born 15.09.2011, my second baby.
I have started using my new nappies, totsbots easy fit. They are fantastic! So easy to use, beautiful to the touch, very slim fitting. Definitely prefer them to my tots bots bamboozles or bambino mio's. Can understand peeps being put off by the extra washing. It an extra 3 loads a week. Big money saving and being very environmentally friendly tipped the balance for me and its really not too bad.

Lovely seeing all the mums from the pregnancy thread over here. Its wonderful hearing how everyone is getting on and great to be able to ask for advice etc. Thanks again Kira and I hope labour kicks off for you very soon!

All done Alison!! I've not added any details about Delain, other than that LO has arrived, cos its her news to tell not mine, but hopefully she will be along soon to tell everyone in person. Computer problems her end mean she has been offline!

  • Hi Kira,
    Thanks for adding me!!!
I checked out the pregnancy forum when you said about Delain so you weren't giving anything much away. I was really glad to hear she had been online and that baby had arrived :-) Hope she gets her computer gremlins sorted! I hate being without the Internet, especially when at home so much. Off to do the dream feed now, to keep the wee man's tummy ticking over til 7am ( I hope!)

Im a long time lurker from the pregnancy thread and have just found this one.
Please could someone add me to the list? Aydon was born 04/10/11 and is my first baby. Kandboys, I was due the same day as you (28th) and loved reading and comparing how your pregnancy was going, glad to read of the safe arrival of your little one. Thank you all so much for the tips and advice posted. I really thought it would get easier but still seems to be a huge learning curve, does it get any easier?
