Glad Ellie is doing well!
Redhead - I had the implant and now regretting it since it looks like I'll have to go on the pill as well (which kinda negates the point of having the implant). Had my first real period on it and it's been hellish! Three days of period pain, on for a week and counting, mood swings, which I didn't have before, and starting to get spots around my mouth. Before I was lucky if I got one a month, I've had three in the past week.
P.S. If Jack doesn't keep this sock on, I'm sellotaping it to his foot! As with a lot of things, he thinks having his socks off is funny. I procure the sock from the floor and he laughs at me."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Oh and we tried rice last night. He barely ate any of it. Seems to prefer oatmeal, but three out of four foods in the cupboard ain't bad."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Mossy I don't know how your getting on with the feeding now but I was suffering, as well. I had bleeding, blistering, and skin hanging off I was in tears with every feed but I discovered lanolin cream £10 a tube but amazing stuff it's like I've grown new nipples so I can highly recommend it x
Absolutely agree, I also recommend nipple shields until your skin recovers, I was in tears every time he latched on.0 -
Just wondered, if i could ask you lovely ladies a question regarding contraception?
I've got my 6 week check in a fortnight, and my midwife says i need to have made a decision with regards to what im doing re contraception, but my knowledge is limited on how good different types are. My GP isnt the sort of bloke i can talk to either. He doesnt really talk at all so to speak.
I had the Depo injections, which worked well for just over 1.5 year, then I became pregnant with DD while still having them, so wouldnt use that method again. Between DD and DS, we just used condoms.
We've decided we would like a third child, in approx 3 years. So not after anything permanent.
Just wondered what you ladies had decided, and if there was any you would/wouldnt recommend over others? Sorry if its too personal a question. Thanks x
I've got my check on Thursday and wondering what to go for. Bf limits the options anyway... but I am terrified of taking tablets. Elliot is the result of me getting fed up with the side effects of the implant, patches made me really itchy, and depo takes a bit too long to werar off if we're possibly only waiting a year or so before trying for another.... aargh, complicated. Might try crushing tablets in chocolate spread if they'll still work OK!0 -
I found I kept forgetting to take the pill."Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Oh and on the talk of contraception, I have been on the mini pill as am bfing still but my doctor doesn't seem that keen on it as keeps reminding me there are other options. Think i would consider the coil as they can take it out again if you want to ttc.0
