I lurk on here from time to time, but couldn't read and run after reading your post jenjade. I sincerely hope that everything goes well with Ellie's op.

Don't think of people visiting as saying goodbye - they're coming along to show Ellie just how much she is loved and to remind her that there are a whole load of people (including everyone on here, I have no doubt) who will be rooting for her to carry on fighting as she has been doing. She sounds like she's done incredibly well so far and I will have everything crossed that she continues to do so.

Jenjade - I have been thinking about you and little Ellie non stop waiting for an update.
I hope the op can go as well as possible, she sounds like such a little fighter, and no your family have not given up on her they are coming to offer support just remember that.

I am sat here crying after reading your post, so cant even begin to imagine how you are feeling.
(Easier said than done I know) but please look after yourself, you need sleep and you need to be well for Ellie.
Take care, and if there is anything anyone here can do for you please just ask

  • Jenjade, your LO was on my mind all day yesterday, so glad that she is getting the attention she needs, even better that its in a established hospital. I echo what everyone else has said, sincere best wishes to your family.

Hope everyone is ok today x

Thanks WW, will have a look for those. Didn't realise they did them. Thanks!
Hope yours isn't like mine and gets the hands out of the cuffs! I'm sure he uses his mouth to do it! Think I'm going to nickname him Houdini, he's had a cold since Sunday and the other morning we found him trying to strip himself. He got one arm out his pyjama top using his other arm and mouth, and was attempting to pull it over his head.

  • Argh, just found out Jack has an expensive dummy habit! He will only take specific ones, the Tommee Tippee 0-6 months that have been discontinued, and looking on ebay those ones cost a pretty penny. Why can't he be happy with any old one? Tried him on the newer Tommee Tippees, not for it, tried him on orthodontic ones, they get spit out (at times with great force), tried Poundland ones since they seemed a bit bigger, spat out as well...

Cheapest ones I've found go for £4. The new style ones in Tesco go for £1.98.
