  • Hope all goes well with Ellies op x

Kira, the midwife said to us on day 3 that Elliot has a tongue tie. She said the local policy is not to do anything about it unless it's causing feeding or speech problems, but other places will cut them at birth. His seems to have stretched a bit and he's feeding fine, so we're hoping that they won't need to do anything. He can almost stick his tongue out now!

Hope all goes well for you both Jen, and that you have her home fully recovered quickly. I don't dare to imagine how scary it must be.
  • God bless Jenjade and Ellie, I actually cried at your post.

So many people moan about trivial things, (not intended at anyone on here), stupid things like rubbish in the street, or not having enough clothes. It takes horrifying news to make people thankful for what they have.

The most important thing is that everyone is happy and healthy. Everything else is insignificant.

For everyone that has a poorly baby, in any capacity, Good luck and god bless to you all.

    Hugs for all :grouphug:

  • I tend to lurk on this thread as my son is 9 months and not a newborn but I couldn't read Jenjade's post and not say something. Hugs to you and your family, my thoughts are with you.

Jenjade, as with the rest of us, thinking of you and little Ellie x

Gilly, hope you get things sorted out for Aaron. With any luck you'll have a helpful GP.

Haven't been on here as been trying to get on top of housework and bits and also had a really bad night saturday with LO followed by her not sleeping sunday either and both me and DH shattered. She's been better since then but this morning when she woke about 5.30 for feed she felt really hot and I started to panic, also feeling really hot myself. Her temp was half a degree up when we measured and mine half a degree down. Thank god, hers went back to normal pretty quick, but I'm keeping an eye on it.

Just reading back and noticed I missed Ro's birthday congrats. Careful what you say about being really old though please, some of us are older than you!

Best wishes for you and Ellie today Jen xxx

Well been to the GP, very sympathetic, has given me baby gaviscon, and colief on prescription. Said if he's no better by Friday, to go back and they will start going down other routes, so that's ideal :)

Poor soul, honestly, I just want his pain to go away.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.
  • Glad the GP was a good one for you Gilly. Hopefully the combination of both may settle him for you.

Anyone with any experience of teething????? My 6.5 month old is still a gummy delight, but hoping one is going to cut soon. Since last Friday she has developed a very rubbishy-cough, which I am told could be teething (She had a cold a few weeks back too though). Any idea's on how to eliviate this when she's sleeping?? She sounds like darth Vadar :p
