Thought i would update on our trial of things to help LO with what i thought might be slient reflux.
Well, so far, so good! Overall she seems much much happier, with far fewer episodes of "unexplained" screaming/crying during the day and evening. Having the crib tilted seems to have helped alot with her ability to settle when we put her down- much more than just having the mattress did. Plus i've noticed that keeping her upright/at +30 degree angle after a feed for 30 minutes seems to have reduced not only the post feed crying, but also the wheezy rattling noises when we used to lay her down. Its hard work though, holding her up so long, esp in the night, between feeds when you just want to to put her down and get some sleep! Worth it though!
Not going to assume it IS reflux yet... but it seems to be working!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hi Ladies,
Just having a quick catch up and read back.
Poppy is home on Sunday and I'm soooo happy! The oxygen is being installed tomorrow and my kitchen looks like a chemist but that's ok as long as she's here with us! She was weighed this morning and now weighs 4lb 6oz so still a tiddler, but she looks massive compared to when she first arrived at less than 2lb!
I'm finding feeding her so tiring, so just loves to be held against my breast with my nipple resting in her mouth even when she isn't feeding and if I move her away and try and give her to Daddy she screams blue murder!! I actually looked like a zombie now and can't remember not feeling tired and like my head is made of cotton wool!
Going to read back now and see how everybody else is getting on.

Hi Mummies, hope you and babies are all doing well. Just thinking about what formula to buy as a back up to breastfeeding and wondered if any of you could offer some advice please?0

Hi all
Sorry i will read back in a mo hope everyone is ok.
DD will not sleep today shes had just over an hour, her eyes are red and you can tell she is tired. Have put her down now and seems to going off to sleep.
Rang a HV today to ask about nightime feeding and she said not to let DD go more then 6 hours with a feed, we been feeding about 6-7 hours at night, shes weeing and pooing find so i may carry on with letting her wake up for a feed and see if her weight gain is ok on thursday when she has her 6 week check.
Can anyone recommen a good musical mobile for moses basket0 -
Gosh, remember when you were bricking it on the PG thread about him being a whopper
!. Sounds like he is gaining nicely now.
We've been on Huggies size 2 for about 2 weeks now, and they are already getting a bit snug on the tum. Have had to get some size 3's, and some superdry's for night time as a normal one wont hold enough to go through beyond 4 hours.
Tbh with the epidural I dont suppose it would have mattered what size he was, couldnt feel anything.
God we're still using size 1 pampers, huggies are just so big for Aaron, I dont understandHi Mummies, hope you and babies are all doing well. Just thinking about what formula to buy as a back up to breastfeeding and wondered if any of you could offer some advice please?
Hi laura we bought little cartons of aptamil as a back up and our Hv seemed to agree it was the best but i know others use other brands with no issue. We're using half aptamil comfort/half breast now and it seems to be working fine. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Thanks Gillyx, I'll give that a go then0

We have used the cartons and powdered aptamil and fine for our LO
It's too quiet on here !!
I have a confession I have only used one reusable nappy  it's pampers all the way as LO keeps wearing on everything so dant face anymore washing at mo...

I've not used any of my cloth nappies yet Ro, I'm still working through my stash of size 1s. I did buy some xs bumgenius nappies off eBay the other day though so am going to try those when they turn up. The ones I've got at the moment are birth to potty and I think they're still a bit big for her, even on the smallest setting, because she's got such skinny legs!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0

Hi, Could I join in and be added to the list?
I've actively took myself off all distractions and the net for the last few weeks to concentrate on Jessica and getting a routine, which has come to nothing as she demand feeds mostly every 2hrs the odd occasion she will do 3hrs, Jess is up to 7lbs now which is good as she was quite tiny at birth.
Hope everyone doing okay, If anyone would rather I didn't use this thread for whatever reason pls say, I honestly wouldn't be offended, I just need the advice and tips but at the same time don't want any bad feeling with anyone for whatever reason x
Edit: Just gonna post birth story, though it is very boring xxx#JusticeForGrenfell0
