Fluff, she's finally enjoying the mat! She's been talking and smiling to the cat for five minutes! I haven't figured out how to get the direct picture link to add here in the 'img tags from the dropbox mobile app, so I'll put the link to the pic:

Hi Marta - no I'm not on the facebook group, must be the only person in the world not on fb!
Dizzi - that makes sense I guess, we do put her down in her moses and she does go to sleep by herself but the actual putting her in it seems to flick a switch where she thinks "must wake up and bash about as much as possible", gently rubbing her tummy calms her down enough so she falls asleep by herself - was so frustrating in the early weeks when she wouldn't fall asleep in there at all :eek:0 -
Thanks very much fluff!! She's been looking at the cat with the lights and doing conversation noises and smiling, so cute!! She still has no interest in grabbing stuff, she would kick whatever you put at her feet but ignore anything close to hand, except the muslin I use for feeding, that one she would grab and move away. I think she's more interested in conversation than physical stuff at the moment, lazy like her mum! I want to get her to move more, I can't believe aventurine 's little one is rolling already! I think there's only one day difference! So I told her that we will be having more mat time now, she smiled so I'll assume she agrees! Lol She does spend a lot of time being fed, cuddled or carried around, so I'll try to put her more on the mat and bouncer when she's awake!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

marta - my little one isn't rolling yet and she is a week younger than yours so I think Aventurine must have a clever little gymnast!
We don't put her on her tummy very much, she is getting good at movements with her legs lying on her back but is rubbish with her head and arms when you put her on her front, problem is she is sick so often there is only a small window between her 2 hour feeds where we could risk putting her onher front!

Marta, she is gorgeous !
My Lo has been in her vibrating chair for 35 minutes, first time i had breakfast without her in my lap! She was so much better yesterday and last night too, only cried for a bit because of tummy pain and wind, poor thing. Usually at night when he is asleep you can move from place no problems at all. During the day is a totally different matter.
Need to get him to be happy to sleep somewhere during the day other then on me or DH. He has a vibrating bouncy chair which he likes sometimes and a swinging chair he hates. He does not settle in his Moses basket during the day either.0 -
Tazzy, mine would sleep only in the carrier during the day. DH had some success swaddling her and laid on mat or cot, but that would only last for half an hour the most. If I want her to sleep for longer, or even sleep at all, she needs to be upright and being bounced or swung to sleep. I don't mind because she sleeps at night in her moses with no problems, and the carrier allows me to move around.
Morocha, that's great!! What do you think is working?? Thanks for the comments, she's a photocopy of her dad but without stubble and more feminine features lolQuit smoking *1st January 2010*

LMAO or a future Sumo wrestler with the size of herYour LO is so sweet and delicate looking compared to my little chunky monkey Marta!
Her rolling is from her back onto her side. She launches her legs in the air then flips over, I haven't done much floor or tummy time with her either, so why she's developed this so quickly I don't know. She has always preferred sleeping on her side though, much more settled than when she's on her back.
Talking of sleep, we had a strange night last night. Slept fine till her bottle at 1.45am, then was grunting and moaning on and off till her next feed at 7.30am. My abs have had a good workout with all the getting up to plug her dummy in malarkey I've had!! Why does she constantly spit it out when she obviously wants it and needs it to settle???Argh!
