Gilly - hope Aaron isn't to worn out after his big day and opening all his pressies. :D

    Katiechoc - at George!!

I've been thinking what we are going to get Noah for his birthday and I think we are decided on a trike similar to this

He will look the king-ding-a-ling going up the school to pick his big bro's up in one of those!

We've got Calpol, that stuff is flipping delicious! Think I like it more than him, its soooooo annoying when a bit drips on my fingers ;). But it doesn't come with a syringe, it was a mission getting him to swallow it off a spoon when he was small. Having said that the vitamins he has comes with a syringe and he still manages to dribble that back out most days...

Could you stir the vitamins into food? My mum used to hide any foul-tasting medicines in a spoonful of raspberry jam :)

Well the 5 minute walk to the shop normally took over an hour - had to keep stopping since I'm getting dizzy spells a lot lately.

Hubby is continuing to really grate - his latest racket is taking the dogs out for a "walk" to meet his buddy and stand talking football for 45 minutes, thus skipping out on needing to help me give the baby her tea, sort out the steriliser and prepare the bedtime bottle, get her ready for bed... and he can then roll in just in time to give her the bottle and do the story - before "taking her to bed" which involves plonking her down to sleep, and going to lie and watch TV for an hour in our bedroom - then coming downstairs and complaining it's too late for him to feel like cooking dinner (I tend to do more batch cooking on weekends and leave the day-to-day stuff to him, especially now I can't stand up for ages) and melodramatically announce he's just having toast for tea.

After this morning where he did nothing I'm on an incredibly short fuse with this!

Just popping on to see how your first day back was nutella, but sunshine beat me to it :)

Some of you may remember me posting about not feeling well, well I had a blood test and the results are in...I'm anemic so back on the iron tablets :( also something came back wrong with my liver function, unfortunately it was the receptionist telling me the info so all she could tell me was that it was "high" but not actually tell me what was high!!!! She read the dictor's notes out which said it could be caused by something viral but I have to have another set of tests in 6 weeks time specifically to look at the liver. Not particularly helpful or informative!!!!!!!

Nutella, how was work and nursery? X

Thanks for thinking of us :) Work was ok, but I've got a terrible headache and I'm ready for bed! The tube at rush hour was a bit of a shock to the system, as was using my brain all day, but I was glad to be busy and only phoned the nursery once. OH dropped LO off at nursery in time for lunch at 12 and I picked her up at 5. She did fairly well today, had cried a bit, but has made a friend (a similar aged boy called Gabriel) and they had fun bashing away on a musical drum. She'd been saying mamamamama all day, had a 40-min nap and ate all her lunch and tea :) She's definitely getting attached to her key person there, although she's still quite clingy with me - she has ended up in my bed every night since she started nursery... I'm definitely getting softer when it comes to picking her up at night - right now, if she wants cuddles at 1am she's getting them. She slept in my bed last night, on my pillow, face on my shoulder and still poked her head up at regular intervals to check that I was still there...

Tomorrow is working from home day! :)
  • Glad work was ok nutella yeah to WFH :j

Could someone add me to the list next time it is done please. Baby jonno born 14th december :)

We're doing ok here still upping BF in an aim to get her totally off the bottle following my issues. We're at about 3 BF a day now, hoping to increase daily, now I'm pain free and the antibiotics seem to be doing their thing :) don't want to set myself an absolute timescale so as not to put the pressure on too much.

Although baby only 6 weeks, already dramas at work, my job was made redundant 2 weeks ago :( but I have been offered another. Only downside is they want me to go back sooner than I want to. Have talked things through with OH though and I think with some KIt days and a bit of part time, we can make it work. Not ideal but, the extra money will be useful. Will call my potential new boss tomorrow and ask him if he agrees with my proposal :o

Picked up registration form today for LO nursery too

She's catching up on sleep after having an awake day yesterday :o although she did go for just over 6 hours in the night so I can't complain. Shes loving her recently purchased Ewan the sheep :D and so am I was tempted to put it on even after she was in a deep sleep at 3 am when I was wide awake :rotfl:

Glad work wasn't too bad, and LO got on ok at nursery. That last bit you wrote about her poking her head up to check you were still there made me melt, such a sweetie! So she's not at nursery tomorrow while yo iWork from home?

I've just sat down, decided to clean the bathroom after washing up rather than leave it til his first nap tomorrow. This cup of tea is going down very nicely now...

I'm having a sneaky look at pushchairs online, I want a new one! Kind of regret the one I got off eBay in the autumn - its ok when he's lying down but he's so nosy he's always craning his neck to see everything, and when its in a more upright position he slides down as there isn't enough of an actual seat bit if you get what I mean? Also its massive when folded, takes up the entire boot. OH isn't going to be impressed...

  • Hi all

Glad it wasn't too bad at work and nursery Nutella :)

I am the same with Aiden as you are with your LO atm. Because he has been so poorly, when he wakes in the night and wants me - I just put him in with us :o I keep thinking - ahhh but he has been poorly!! Bad habit I know, but I'll just make sure he is 100% first.

Sammie - I am back in work Wednesday, not too long off really but seems lovely having a couple of days just me and him. That trike looks ace, I want one for Aiden but OH doesn't want it for some reason.

I went to get Aiden's nursery pictures framed today £51  I wasn't expecting that much at all!! Good job I get paid on Wednesday!!

Katie, what prams do you have your eye on? Even though I have no plans to change ours, I love looking at them! I like to decide what I will have for baby no2 ;)
