Boo! I don't want to go to work tomorrow!
Do you think my manager would mind if I schedule an afternoon nap into my working from home day? I could mark it as a recurring private appointment in Outlook - every Tuesday between 2pm and 3pm. Hmmm, now there's a thought
Am now wishing I'd made the most of the opportunity to have a nap today instead of cleaning like a madwoman...Definitely having an early night tonight!

Baby's first word.... NO!
This does not bode well for teenage years!
(She can do da-da and na-na and occasionally ma-ma... da-da's the one most frequently used in the right context - to wrap daddy around her little finger - but the cat, the floor, the dog, me, a banana, the television, the hoover are ALL currently na-na to her... Nana is NOT impressed by this)Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

And then find a teeny one, whereas you open an innocent smelling nappy and find poo mountain.
I put them slightly behind me to one side, then he can't reach them unless he escapes!
Nutella, I get annoyed if someone tears the pack so it doesn't stick nicely.0 -
Hello all
On the laptop now so can properly catch up.
We were discharged late Friday night. So happy he is finally home :j
He was discharged with a 4 day open pass back to the Children's Ward if we need it, but touch wood we wont! They said that his cough will still linger for about 3-4 days, but they did another x-ray before discharging us and his chest is clear now. They diagnosed him with severe bronchilitis and a respiratory infection.
When we got there on the Saturday morning, it was awful. He was ever so poorlyhe was using his tummy to breathe rather than his chest and was doing between 75-85 breaths per minute, apparently for babies the norm is between 32-40.
Once he was on the oxygen he did improve a lot, but it took a long time for him to be weaned off it, and we had a set back on day 4 where he needed to go back up to 2.0litres again.
He has got ever so clingy since we got back, I can't blame him really as he has had me 24/7 for a whole week. He wouldn't sleep in the cot there, and so I had him in the hospital bed with me, pushed against the cot with pillows down the side, I was glad tbh as I was petrified of him rolling over in the cot and getting tangled in the tubes. And during the day he was hooked to the oxygen and monitor so we couldn't move from the chair - so we have literally been stuck together!
I have booked Monday and Tuesday off work, I didn't want him in nursery until he was 100% incase he picks up anything else. So I am not looking forward to Wednesday when we drop him off!!
Anyway, here he is when we first got here, and then on the day we were discharged having a play in the playroom!!
Lots better in the last pic :T
Just trying to catch up on all the washing now we are back.
Hope everyone is well. xxxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

nutella good luck for tomorrw, hopefully you'll be so busy the time will fly and you'll soon be home
sunshine so glad to hear he is better, and that the cough will finally go! So was the cough a symptom of this all along? I remember you have been saying about it for quite some time :-/0 -

I dont know tbh, hopefully it completely goes now. I am no medical professional but imo I think its been lingering all this time and then turned into this, seems as if Aidens GP may not be as great as I thought. Obviously thats just my view, but I am a bit cautious about him catching another cough now.
We have to go back to hospital fri just for a final check up. They did say he may now be prone to having mild bronchilitis, which doesnt require hospital intervention so hopefully after fri we dont need to go back.
I know my local hospotal gets some stick, rightly so at the moment, but I have to say everyone that looked after Aiden was lovely and we were treated fantastically.

So glad he's better and back home sunshine, hope he steers clear of any more infections from now on.
Welcome morocha, congratulations!
Nutella - hope work is ok tomorrow and LO settles in at nursery. Let us know how it goes.
Mozzy - thankyou! I'm up at the moment, he cried so I went in and settled him and he's gone quiet straight away but I'm waiting 10mins to make sure he's gone before I disturb OH going back to bed. Got a little pile of things to distract me outside G's room - iPad, iPhone, headphones and OH's 3DS with Tetris, so if/when he does kick off I'm prepared!Newborn thread member
