Missbunbury my lil lady put on 4oz this week and 3.5 last week - however she is happy, alert and still putting weight on so I'm happy as is our hv. Please do not feel pressured into bottle feeding, trust your own judgement and I would take the previous advice of speaking to a bf expert if needs be to prevent you losing all confidence.0

Aimless - yay on steps!
*Ro* - hope I'm not too late in wishing a happy birthday!!!
Re toys... Dewi got a teddy from the hospital he was born in that says he was the first Christmas baby. It went in every cot/incubator he had. It's in his basket nowwill probably remove it and return it after the sucking on everything phase.
Currently lying in bed for what should be the last feed of the day.0 -
Money penny Reuben has only ever had a hard tummy when he's not been for a few days, sorry to be annoying but if you are worried the best thing to do is see your GP. They are usually pretty helpful and friendly, I think they would rather see you 10 times over little things than you be frightened to go in the 1 time you really need to.
And yes, seems to be a common theme that health visitors are a bit pants!0 -
Happy bday Scott...bit late on here tonight!
Thibk Aiden has a bit of a viral bug atm. No more sick last night but we had to wake him this morning, which is unheard of for my boy! He was not a happy bunny at all. Took him to MILs and he just slept and drank really. Ate all his tea tonight and went to bed early but has just started to moan. OH has propped the cot up but think he will end up in with us, I have had 3 nights of him in his own cot so guess I am due a co sleep!!
We have the musical seahorse in his cot and he also has a muslin over his face.
Hope everyone ok. I def second going to the GP, I bloody love Aidens doc-he is super lovely and on average I am there at least once a month lol! He even comes in specially for usif I was 20years older lol....

Hi turtle, no its not annoying at all I agree about getting her checked out I think I just wasn't sure what the role if the health visitor was
she also seemed to suggest it might just be normal for her, just left me a boy confused as to whether to worry or not but you are right they'd rather check things over than let them fester. It'll make me register at the doctors if nothing else !
Get well soon aiden!
Just had 12-5 sleep its the longest she had ever! More of the same please!
Hope all are well0 -
Hugs missbunbury. As others have said bf babies often put on weight slower than the chart. I would also suggest talking to a bf specialist first - if you let me know your area I can try dig someone up for you? I know it's probably impossible but trh not to stress when feeding as that could reduce your supply a little. She's gaining, which is good, and she's happy so you're clearly not starving her!0

Had my first night of being awake. He went down lovely at half 11... was up from 2.30- nearly 6. Then he woke again just before half 8. No sign of him sleeping now either0

Dummies are recommended for sleeping and naps by the FSID so I hardly think you can call yourself a bad mother! Some bubs love dummies. I don't see the fuss personally. I'm not sure I feel the same about three year olds that you can't understand because they've always got a dummy stuffed in their mouth, but for the under 1s, sure, why not?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
