I dont EBF but as far as I'm aware all women are different and periods can come back quickly or not at all for as long as you're breastfeeding. My first one was completely fine, no pain and regular flow etc.

  • Ah, thanks Gilly - will enjoy the fact its gone so smoothly then and not worry about it not being difficult!

My first 2 we dream like, compared to what they were like before baby. The next few weren't as good, in fact they were downright horrible but they've been fine since that :)

You may get this one and not get another for a while apparently that's common too.

No sign of a period and Freddie's getting on for six and a half months. It depends on your own hormones and it's not abnormal to get them, nor is it abnormal not to. My friend bottle-fed her babe (after breastfeeding for about 10 days) and she didn't have a period for months and months. Horses for courses innit.

Ladies, thank you for all the advice about sleeping. I will try the hot water bottle trick today.

    Cute pics today guys!

Well, I thought the nappies were bad when we started weaning. Today I realised they were nothing....today I learnt that he has obviously started swallowing a lot more than previously. I heaved at the contents, that's the first time anything baby related has made me react like that!

We also have backwards crawling today....I popped him on the floor while I was in the kitchen, looked up and he was gone....I panicked and ran to look...only to find him around the corner and still going backwards haha!

Freddie's always propelled himself backwards (not that he's anywhere near crawling yet) but even at the age of a few months he managed to get himself stuck under the telly stand. All that were poking out were his little legs :o

While we're on this sort of topic... how long does bleeding usually last post birth?

Heavy bleeding should ease up within a week, perhaps even 2 or 3 days. Light bleeding can typically last up to six weeks. That's the 'average' but we're all different.
