I had a night like that in hospital bamamA I was convinced the baby was I'll but she was just hungry! She got weighed today and put on 9 oz in 6 days so is now 10lb and not three weeks old! We sorted all her presents out today luckily she wasn't bought / we didnt buy much newborn stuff as she has already outgrown it all/never fitted her.0

Dewi got weighed this morning... put on 11oz in 3 days. Didn't think he would want to take more boobie juice and get bigger!
Edit : he's 2 weeks tomorrow.0 -
Bamama - Alice has days like that too (she's six weeks now) and the HV told me to try to keep her awake while feeding if I can by rubbing her ear, blowing on her face, even changing her nappy. TBH though it doesn't always work so when she's having a really hungry day I just give up on getting anything done and make a nest on the sofa and we do cuddles all day. I also find that if she isn't finishing a boob she gets very gassy so I try to combat that by putting her back on the same one each time until she's done at least 30 mins in total on one. *edited to add*: Just try not to worry, as long as he's gaining he must be getting enough, as others say he is probably working to increase your supply.
She's now playing Wait for the Poo, no sign of one since Thursday but everyone I ask says this is normal even though she was pooing more than once a day up till now.0 -
Aventurine I am making an assumption on your location from an old post of yours. Anyway, I think you are only a couple of hours from me, Wolverhampton. I know someone who personally knows the lady trained to diagnose and snip tongue ties at New Cross hospital in Wolverhampton. Under the NHS, you have the right to choose where you have your treatment, so I think with a little pushing you could get seen, if you wanted to. Let me know if you want the contact details for her. I appreciate it's a long way to travel when you have a little baby, but getting it fixed is priceless! Might just be worth a conversation? They might even know someone closer to you they could refer you to.0

Bamama, Shaylen had a day when she was 2 weeks old where she fed from 9am till 11pm with a maximum of 30 minutes break at any point - it drove me mad too but it's just them putting an order in for extra supplies as they're due a growth spurt at that age, she had another day at roughly 4 weeks but it has just been the one day each time - get comfortable & stock up on supplies on these days, theres nothing else that can be done I'm afraid. I'm expecting another one soon as we're approacing 6 weeks now!
Well, my oh left for his trip home today and I've been a right wuss all day - need to pull myself together as have 3 weeks to survive! Little lady knows full well something is up as she's not been herself today - daddy is much better at winding her and settling her then I am so struggled a bit as think she associates me totally with feeding and won't settle at all, she's asleep for the first time now since she woke up at 4:30am aside from 2 30 min naps, we'll sort it out though i hope!0 -

Elliot just thinks everything is called 'Da' at the moment. Apart from any drink that's in our cups, which is called 'T'.
Da is a favourite here too, apart from the obvious, his brother is Da! and so is duck. He's started copying me by shouting Da! really loudly, then looking out the door to see if his brother arrives.Other than that, we've got a bit of an 'esss' thing going on, as in, want some banana? Esssssss!
On the Infacol front, it sent him from windy to full blown screaming colic within a day. I threw it away and stuck with the wind!0 -
