Hi Kira thanks! Wow I see you are overdue - bet you are right fed up!! Come on little baby, Mummy Kira wants to meet you!!
LOL, You are soo right. I am soooo ready for her to make an appearance RIGHT NOW, and she will not stop wiggling, which with the belly ready to burst feeling is making me feel sick.

Hiya!
Could I join in please? I had my first baby on 29/7/11, his name is Charlie and he was 11lb 2oz!
Im also looking for a wee bit of advise about weaning, I started him on some baby rice yesterday, hes just over 22 weeks old but is so hungry all the time! I made a tablespoon of it with 4 tablespoons breastmilk and gave him a few spoonfuls then gave him some milk from his bottle. Im just not sure how much I can give him, today I made the same amount up but thought I would give him it until he didnt want anymore but he ate it all and cried when it was finished! Im just worried that I should not of gave him so much?? I gave him his bottle after again.
Thanks so much for any advice!0 -
Another cluster feeding evening for us, but I know what to expect now so it's all cool, apart from the dead arm from holding her loads though!
OH back to work tomorrow which will be a bit of a challenge. Have got appt to open bank account for Eleanor so a wander into and around town will take up a decent chunk of the day. OH then working 12h night shifts from Thurs to Mon though which is a bit pants, trying to keep quiet during the day so he can sleep should be interesting! Taking myself and the kiddiwinks down to my mums for the weekend so OH can catch up a bit and I get some company.Little lady arrived 13/12/110 -

11lb 2oz? is that a record for the forum?
Welcome kazzyMy wee fella is 3 1/2 months and I think I'm going to start weaning when he hits 4 months. So I'm curious to see what advice you get. I can't up the volume of milk much more with Daniel (it's 8 oz of hungry baby milk). Just about to do a dream feed to 'try' and keep him going 6 hours at night without a bottle.
Great to see so many mums joining the thread. Thanks again KiraFirst Baby born January 2007

Hi Mummies
Hope everyone's okay. Haven't had chance to catch up yet but congrats to all the new mummys. My little Henry was born 7lb 12oz which my DH didn't remember to say.
We're both doing good but I am struggling a bit with BF. Is anyone BF and expressing?? If yes can you give me any advice how start off as the midwive's don't really encourage it?? Just finding the demand quite hard at the mo and have been quite tearful.

Hiya Kimmy, congrats on little Henry! When was he born? I received conflicting advice on expressing, one saying to wait til bf is established, and most health visitors telling me to express to boost my milk supply. My advice is to keep the pump at a low setting so doesn't hurt or damage your nipples. I was also encouraged to express after a feed to empty the breast, taking off the rich hind milk and encouraging the breast to make more milk.First Baby born January 2007
