Oh I wouldn't worry about milestones apart from the idiot HV that she's peed on a couple of times who can't get into her thick skull that you need to adjust things for prem babies and loves to stir up alarm about stuff that you later find out from the rest of her team is no cause for concern whatsoever!

Oh and we've now got two dogs with a slight tummy bug (nothing massively worrying - they're not off their food which is when I'd worry with the gruesome twosome) who are wanting to be out hourly pretty much day and night - and it's a day when I have to be in and out of the house a lot so already had one mess to clear up in the kitchen.

sunshine what a lovely picture! Love his new trick too :T

George has a new trick too - eating!!!!! Depends what I give him but for tea last night he had two wedges of that lentil recipe I posted a while back, a plum yoghurt, half a jar of baby food, and half a satsuma! And a milky bar button but shhhh don't tell the hv! And just now he's demolished twice the amount of porridge he normally has and has just started on an apple! Not holding my breath for it to last forever but its nice to see some food actually going down :T

Re swaddling our mws advised to do it although I did read some conflicting advice. But it worked for us, otherwise he woke himself up by flinging his arms around. We used a muslin as when he was about 3 weeks old we had a heat wave.

    Lol...your poor dog!

We went to my mums for new year, she had family and friends round and we slept over so could put Aiden to bed and not have to worry about waking him to go home. Did you? X

We stayed in. Didn't fancy doing much after what happened at Christmas.

I've just woken up and everyone else is still asleep! Lazy sods!!

I wouldn't worry Dizzi, I think Erin weighs about the same as my munchkin? He's dropped back down to about 18lb 6oz and is gonna be 1 in less than 4 weeks. So even on the uncorrected centiles she'd still be a good weight. Loads of babies don't crawl at all, I didn't :) she shouldn't be labelled delayed at all so please try not to worry (although I know thats easier said than done) xx

    sunshine great pics!

katie hooray for eating! I've got out of the habit of giving him solids (he rejected them while he had his cough), struggling to get back in the swing of it and ended up not giving him any yesterday, oops :(

gilly yay for walking! I did see your short vid, very cool!

They swaddle here - midwife kept doing it do him in hospital, and he would try to wriggle but just rocked like a little caterpillar cocoon, poor thing, at home I just did sleeping bag or blankets as he doesn't like to be contained.

I got caught speeding so have to do a 4 hr naughty driver course to avoid getting points, OH is having the boy. I'm a little nervous as he's never had him alone that long, he's never fed him a bottle (reu got fussy the one time he tried so OH got annoyed and gave up) AND I'll be away for a nap time. My sensible head says I know I'm being daft and he's perfectly capable, but my mum head says aaarrrggghhh!

Tut tut turtle!;) I'm sure R will be fine with OH. When do you have to do it?

Is he over his cough now? Hope so. I had been finding it a bit difficult to motivate myself to sort out solids for G as 99% of it ended up on the floor, after last night and this morning I'm back to wishing it was mealtime all the time again! Think also he's hungrier as he's constantly moving now, he managed a forward crawl this morning - he can go backwards like a pro but couldn't quite organise his limbs to go forward :rotfl:

I'm off to take him out in the back carrier now, be nice to go off road again now I'm not chained to the pushchair with him.

My course is on Tuesday Katie. Yep cough is gone now, but he's quite gag-prone again, almost like he's forgotten, doh. Means OH is funny about blwing again, frustrating. He thinks he shouldn't be having meat and should be spoon fed - I give him loaded spoons and he feeds himself, so he gets quite distressed if you spoon feed him, as I found out on Saturday when MIL rammed half a ton of trifle in his mouth, while he tried to grab the spoon, and then turned his head away...but that didn't stop her :(

Wahey for crawling! Reuben has got the legs figured out, he gets up on his knees, bum in the air, and alternates moving them - he's got it spot on. Trouble is, he hasn't worked out that he needs to coordinate it with his arms too, so his face and chest are still on the floor and he either goes nowhere and gets frustrated, or just mashes his face in to the floor and gets frustrated! :rotfl:

I love wearing reu, we have a woven wrap not a carrier, but it's fab isn't it? He loves being up high and being able to look around. I put him on my back at my family at Xmas - my sisters thought it was stupid and dangerous (hmm!) but my nan thought it was great - she had 6 kids and used to put whichever one was the baby on her back with two scarves while she looked after the others :) also love going shopping - so easy to pop him in there and not have to negotiate the pushchair around badly designed shops.

Bamama fingers crossed you get discharged soon! I did 10 days and I was climbing the walls!!!!

The little minx! Had her sat on my lap, having just had her mid-afternoon bottle (the one daytime one she has left) and then I decided to try to open one of my Wispa bars I got for Christmas in a brief sit down before I go out to pick hubby up from work (I've had the car today since I was down at the Children's Centre and then the midwife)... pulling the wrapper down slightly to get a bit sticking out the end to bite off and she's got her head turned around towards it and jaws poised to take a huge chomp! She can gerroff my chocolate - some things I do NOT share!

Think I shall have to admit defeat tonight and resort to crutches to get around Tesco - in a lot of pain and paracetamol's just useless.

SVsandy - I'm not sure if there is a thread for 12months plus but I know some of the original members of this thread are coming upto a year and there's no plans to boot them off the thread :rotfl: so feel free to join us if you like :)

Haha dizzi I won't be sharing my choccie with our monster either. Although he has been super generous with the tube of milky bar buttons his great nan gave him for Christmas ;)
