    MissKeith - congratulations and welcome!

Elelyn, that's a fab sleep - hope he does a repeat one for you tonight!

Last night was possibly our worst night to date, she just wouldn't settle and cried and cried. I slept from 10.30pm to 11.15pm and then from 3.30am to 5am :( We're at my parents' now and she's fast asleep - I think she's worn out from travelling and such a bad night's sleep. Fingers crossed for a good night tonight...
  • Hugs to all the parents not getting sleep, what's going on with these babies, Niall did the best night he has done for a while 3 and a half hours, one and a half hours, one hour then another hour, the last few wakes I had him in bed with us.

Unfortunately little guy has a uti, they have tested twice so he is now on antibiotics for 5 days. Really not happy about him being on more antibiotics as he had them via my placenta during labour and for 5 days after birth. He is on probiotics though. We have to go and get his kidney and urinary tract ultrasound scanned to check there has been no damage.

The antibiotics they have given us are aniseed flavour he hates it have hardly managed to get any down him have tried with spoon and syringe ....any tips ladies?

Really sorry to hear about poppy bless her

  • Hello all

janinne, gosh poor little poppy. Sending you big hugs and wishes for her getting better quickly. xxxx

Hugs to poor Niall too :( hope the meds kick in soon.

Aiden is a lot better now thanks. Took him to hosp who checked everything over. He had a high pulse and temperature and they did seem to think he may have a conjested ear. They dont want to give him any more antibiotics as he bas had two lots in three weeks, and it may just be conjestion from the tail end of the coughs. They prescribed him some diaoralyte and calpol apparently it replaces the lost salts they lose through pooping so much!

They told us to add some blackcurrant to the diaoralyte as it tastes yuk, but Aiden seems ok with it just in water so I would rather not give him the taste for juices. His last bad nappy was 12pm and then at 7:00 and 8:15 we had poops but they were alot firmer than the watery ones he has been having. If he is still miserable by Wednesday and the nappies no better we have to go to our GP.

Hope everyone has has good Sundays? Havent seen Sammie for a while on here?

    X

Thought I'd poke my head in. I gave birth to Oscar at 08.17am 12/12/12
The labour was super, super fast (stomach cramps at 02am, waters broke at 07.30am, got to hospital at 08am and he was born at 08.17am) so we're both quite sshell shocked hah.

We're still struggling with feeding but I think we might have cracked it, he seems to be constantly hungry. He's a very sleepy baby and keeps falling asleep mid feed. Does anyone have any advice? He's currently on the bed with daddy doing what sounds like a very messy poop!

    Welcome and congratulations! xx
