Yay for sleep Turtle - long may it continue! I must try that recipe - I love lentils (and cheese!)
Having suddenly found myself with a fridge full of root vegetables about to go off, I made this today for our lunch: www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1364/spicy-root-and-lentil-casserole. Threw in some sweet potato as well and didn't add curry powder. LO loved it
Oh, and Katie - I can't believe you took time out from your party to say hello to us!That's true dedication to this thread - Kira would be proud
Hope the rest of your evening is good too - enjoy your tea!

Ok so it lasted 1 hr 10 mins. That may not sound long but it's the longest break I've had in months!!!!!!! It took half an hour to settle him...we'll see how long this lasts this time!0

Hi ladies and LO's
Our little boy seems to have picked up a tummy bugbless him. I dont think I have ever changed so many pooey nappies in one day, and I used to be a nursery nurse, in the baby room!! It started on Friday morning, we were in a local restaurant having a coffee with my dad and I knew Aiden needed changing so took him to the baby change and it was an explosion. It lasted like that all day and I was getting a bit worried.
So by 7pm, I called the surgery and spoke to Aidens lovely doctor - I seriously think I would marry this man, he always seems to stop me worrying! He said it would most likely be a 24 hour bug and asked if he was eating drinking and if he had a fever which he didnt. He said as long as he was getting fluids he wouldnt be too worried, but he would want a sample, eww, if it lasted over the weekend. He also offered to do an out of ours visit if I was very worried, but I didnt see the need in getting him out as he would prob just tell me the same I think.
Touch wood today we have only had 3 bad ones. I have tried to give him plain things to eat so for tea it was just mash and a bit of plain chicken breast with some natural yoghurt for his pud. Last night me and OH had to change him at 1230am as we actually heard it though the monitor! Sorry
Anyway...turtle, hope you won the battle and he is sound asleep? Katie, I agree with nutella...how dedicated are you to come and say hello to us mid dinner party!! Enjoy your night.
Nutella, that veg caserole looks yum. I might make that to use up our veg ready for the xmas shop.

Morning ladies
Poor Aiden, first his cough and now this. Hope you all had a better night and he's feeling better this morning?
We had a good night thanks - ate far too much! But I have to say, it was possibly one of my best roasts yet - hm stuffing, Yorkies, roast spuds...drool.
Today not sure what we're doing, take George to the library for a walk if nothing else. Got to go through and Mae sure we've got presents for everyone we should have.Newborn thread member

I've got such a wriggly little man now its hard to believe he's the same baby that used to just lie on his play mat and look at the dangly toys! He won't sit still even for a minute nowNewborn thread member

Oh, Sunshine, poor Aiden. I hope he is okay.
Well, we had an amazing night here. I gave Theo his last bottle at 6.30, he fell asleep half way through it so I got him into his sleeping bag and put him in his cot. He slept until 7am!0 -
Thought I'd poke my head in. I gave birth to Oscar at 08.17am 12/12/12
The labour was super, super fast (stomach cramps at 02am, waters broke at 07.30am, got to hospital at 08am and he was born at 08.17am) so we're both quite shell shocked hah.
We're still struggling with feeding but I think we might have cracked it, he seems to be constantly hungry. He's a very sleepy baby and keeps falling asleep mid feed. Does anyone have any advice? He's currently on the bed with daddy doing what sounds like a very messy poop!Have I helped? Feel free to click the 'Thanks' button. I like to feel useful (and smug).0 -
Congratulations misskeith! Super fast labour, no wonder you're shell shocked :T
Re falling asleep mid feed I had to resort to blowing on his face, stroking his cheeks, undoing his sleep suit and tickling his feet...and half the time none of it worked and he still slept.
Elelyn that's an amazing sleep! *trying to not be too jealous!*. 7.5 months and I've had one full nights sleep. When he does start sleeping through properly its going to be AWESOME :rotfl:Newborn thread member
