Apparently ramming your face two inches from a baby, tickling their tummy and screeching "ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE A SLEEP ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE A SLEEP" is the best way to get a baby down to have a nap.

Hubby's conveniently forgotten his pledge to get out of work early and rescue me - temper rising... (she's gone out to take the dogs for a walk for us atm)

Yes hun, especially if you think you might do some long car journeys, or even if they're just tired, they can lie back and sleep. Its not a necessity, but something i definitely wanted x

Yawn! So tired - another rough night here; by 8.45pm she just cried and cried and cried and nothing could settle her, so I ended up going to bed then so I could cuddle her and she could sleep :o She did fall asleep immediately, but kept turning over onto her tummy (and me - I was squashed into a tiny amount of space with her rolling around all over the rest of the bed...) and often dropping the dummy and waking up in the process. I do wonder if this is the sleep regression Dizzy mentioned (just turned 7 months here) or whether it's her cold bothering her. Whatever it is, I hope it goes away soon!

She's currently exploring sofa legs and laminate flooring - the world outside her playmat is increasingly tempting and accessible... :)

    What is ballycastle??

I've finally got the house pretty much clean, just need to Hoover so going to bung G in the jumperoo so I can get it done. Then jump in the shower (dependant on the monkey's mood) and should be time to go out. Still tipping down here though, not stopped all day yet.

Funny you should mention Ballycastle in your tea - when I was making a cappuccino last night, I looked at the bottle and wondered whether to add a bit to my coffee :o

I missed 15 stone babies thanks to my own baby requiring cuddles... I did watch Weight Loss Ward earlier on though whilst scoffing the rest of the Aldi carrot cake :o

Katie, Ballycastle is the fake Baileys from Aldi which Turtle and Elelyn were raving about. It's £3.99 and tastes just like the real thing - I'm a convert! :D

Tipping it down here too - just got back from a walk to Sainsbury's wishing I was the one all warm and dry and snug in the buggy!
