Elelyn, so glad all is well - I think it's always best to get things checked out if you're worried.

Dizzi, hope you're OK. Deep breaths... :o

My LO just woke up screaming - not just a bit of 'I've lost my dummy' type crying, it was proper screaming. So bad I picked her up - I never normally do this, but I was getting worried something was seriously wrong, although it might 'just' have been a bad dream. She settled and fell asleep on me, cried when I put her back in her cot, but some more singing and patting of head eventually brought her back to sleep - although she still seems unsettled, so I think we've got another messy night ahead of us :( I've got the Karvol plugged in and a bowl of hot water on the floor, so fingers crossed she'll be able to breathe better and cough less tonight... Otherwise it'll be a third night of co-sleeping; when she's poorly she just wants cuddles :o

Good day today - LO and I went to my work's xmas lunch, which was really nice. The Thai green curry was lovely and my little girl was adored by all! When we got home we spent nearly an hour opening and playing with an Amazon parcel :) I'd ordered some new bowls and plates for her, so not only did she have lots of packaging to play with, she also had plenty of colourful plastic to stick in her mouth and hide toys in :D
  • Mozzy that's the car seat I want for Niall, possibly the one that lasts longer age size but same design. I love the cossato stuff, would like the pushchair but won't fit in my boot.

Bellola -naps for Niall in the day are a nightmare too although things have improved. He is now 17 weeks. I find the first nap of the day is the easiest, he is getting sleepy within an hour of getting up I used to rock him in a bouncer for this sleep but a few weeks ago I managed to get him down in the Moses basket and he normally sleeps for 45 mins although this has increased to an hour recently. He then has asleep around lunchtime which is in the sling and it will be for about 90 mins, afternoon sleep of 45 mins is in buggy or sling. I never I imagined it would be so hard to get a baby to sleep. Once or twice a week I will try and get him down in his Moses basket for his other sleeps but I have not been successful yet.

Katie - Niall is still crap with his night sleep so I feel your pain, I think your lo is a bit older than Niall. Last night he slept for 45 mins, 45 mins, 90 mins I then took into bed as I have no energy to sit and get him to sleep etc when if he feeds laying down with me he just falls asleep. I have also had my mum and mil telling me to wean early like it is the answer to everything they both also think I should switch to formula. It's terrible I feel like I can't even share things with my mum now because the answer from her is dummy, formula wean etc

On a positive note Niall is daily rolling now, love it, he has also started to suck his thumb which is really cute and is very interested in the iPad and has been swishing the screen today.

Right better go, must spend some time with dh while Niall is asleep.

So true - anyone claiming that they 'slept like a baby' has clearly never had a baby!
