Oh and it fits in the car no problem (ford focus) however we really struggled with his baby sized car seat, it only just reached if you used your weight to tug on it, how random that this one fits just fine.0

We found similar - had to change our car to get the baby seat to fit in comfortably at the recline it was meant to be (and considering we had a galumphing big estate you wouldn't have expected it).Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Aw he looks so comfy turtle! I've just got George off, hopefully, going to sneak in and check then lug Hetty (the Hoover) downstairs to give the car a quick do over before I get it in. Then I need to find somewhere to go with him in it!
We had trouble getting our baby seat in the inlaw's focus, think they must have really short seat belts or something, its never been a problem in our megane.Newborn thread member

Lol, has that got the newborn insert in, or is he bigger that my little shorty already?
Mine fitted in my Panda no problem, and I had the same problem with the newborn seat and the belt.
Dizzi, haven't you got a prior engagement somewhere both days?Or secret Xmas shopping

I used to have Hetty!! I bought a Dyson and gave Hetty to my DP as he has to take a Hoover to work!! Apparently all the engineers think she's fab!!

Yes still got the newborn insert in as he isn't quite 8 kg yet. Hoping he hurries up and hits it soon though, as really he does need the shoulder straps moving up a notch. Plus his head is higher than where the insert sits, so doesn't look very comfy as he lays on it rathe than in it.0 -
Congratulations on #2 crabapple!
Turtle, Reuben looks so grown up in his new seat. Does that seat do rear and forward facing? I think we tried it in our car when buying our baby seat and it would fit in forward facing but not rear facing. Will probably buy one when Theo is big enough. We had a nightmare trying to get a baby seat as the back seats in our car (Clio) slope backwards, meaning the car seat ended up not reclined enough for a newborn. We ended up with a Britax Babysafe which we were assured was approved for our car and Mothercare tested it and said it was okay but it's still too upright for my liking. Doesn't matter so much now he's bigger but I hated him being in it when he was first born.0 -
I wish we'd had one of these seats since he was born, looks loads comfier than the first one we had! And the newborn insert looks sooo snug and cosy, wish he wasn't too big for it. Got the straps adjusted (finally, might be me but those instructions are carp) just got to get it in the car next.
We've got a megane elelyn and had the same problem with the newborn seat tipping forwards, when he was tiny hope always ended up with a crink in his neck. Was a good excuse for making the family come to us rather than go up to them!Newborn thread member

Wow, Nutella that's so helpful - thank you! I've made an appointment with our GP on Monday and will see what he says but will deffo look into the company you have mentioned too. I'd rather see what we can do now before it gets any worse.
I do try and do plenty of tummy time with him during the day. He's not too keen though and it often ends with him spewing up everywhere - nice! He likes to be sat upright now too so I spend a lot of time on the floor with him sat in between my legs where he's nice and supported. I'm sure this will all help. I've also taken to letting him nap in his bouncer and turning his head to the other (non flattened) side, propping the other side with a rolled towel so he can't turn it back.
Sounds like you're doing all the right thingsSitting up is just as good as tummy time (my LO wasn't keen either - now she loves it), all that matters is that you don't add more pressure onto the flattened side of the head. Good luck - hope your GP is more helpful than mine!
