To all those who remember me.... Ryan is now over 5.5 months (he'll be 6 months on Dec 14th), and has been progressively more dissatisfied with milk over the past few weeks. We finally gave in and started feeding him today. Pureed carrots and breastmilk. Sounds lovely, doesn't it...
Well, he hoovered it up, wore a bit, and bashed himself on the face with his spoon 3 times, trying to find his mouth (he did in the end) - it was so cute.
I tell you, I'm sure most of you know what it felt like (you've already been there) - but doesn't the first proper non-milk meal fill you with so much happiness? It makes it all worthwhile, and seem so much more real...
Now onto the next milestone... baby-proofing before he's crawling around everywhere...Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0

We are thinking about baby proofing the house soon. Can't believe it has come round so quick. My munchkin will be 9 months this month, that's a whole pregnancy!
We bought Noah a new car seat today. We went for the maxi cosi priorifix. Was priced at £270 in halfords but as we got an Internet special offer and a £20 voucher we only paid £170!! £100 saving, not bad!!
He looks so grown up in it.

Has everyone seen the thread about huggies? Their nappies are being discontinued next year. They will still sell swimming nappies and wipes though.

No chance lol he woke after 40 mins, then 2 and a half hours then took him into bed with us, then i woke at 6am needing to be sick. My parents have had him all afternoon though so I have been getting on with stuff.

            Hi all
Thanks for the lovely msgs! Doc thinks Aiden might be alergic to the amoxicillin he had so he has some erythromicin now. Fingers crossed it clears his cold. It did mean we couldnt take him to nursery though as its 24hrs until they will take him. He came shopping with me and my mum as its all indoors. He slept most of the time tbh. I hardlt got any xmas stuff, still need mum, stepdad, dad and nephews stuff.
Mozzy thanks for idea re diary. I might do that too.
Ill read back in a bit xxxLittle Man born 11 March 2012 :smileyhea

I don't like them either. They leaked with all 3 of my boys.

Hi everyone! Just joining this thread after spending the last few months over on the pregnancy thread - had my little girl Alice on the twenty-fourth of November weighing 6lb15oz. Thought I would introduce myself quickly since she is ASLEEP for once *dance of joy*
Am currently trying to get us into a bit of a routine before OH goes back to work next week, we are all very tired but loving being parents for the first time. We're very keen money-savers so will be keeping a close eye out for tips - current things I am on the lookout for include nursing bras and tops.
Anyway, like I say, a massive hiya to everyone on this thread, I am going to try to read back a bit to get myself caught up with who's who etc.0
