Poor Aiden
hope the doc can give him something to sort it all out. Sounds like you've got a gem of a gp for him to go in specially for you. Hope you can still get your day shopping, let us know how you get on
Jedi hope Niall sleeps a bit better for tonight. 3 and a half hours is an unusually good stretch for George at the moment too, so I feel your pain.
Doing the last feed now then bed time for me, night all.Newborn thread member

Yeah, he is a really nice doc. Tbh I have only seen him twice and then spoke to him tonight, the first time I saw him was when Aiden first had the cough afew months ago and he gave him nose drops and the second time was the other week when he gave us the inhaler and anti biotics. I think he saw how many times we had been and got told different things, he said to go back and see him of it got no better. But I didnt expect him to be that pro active for him and come in especially. I am glad though, as he is the one I spoke to and he has seen him last so at least he knows the latest.
We got Aiden another Xmas pressie today, on my phone so cant link but its a ELC chunky keyboard, they had 25% off everything so I got it at lunch break. No more now though!

Hi ladies need some advice please, DH is looking after Maisie for the first time while I try to get some Xmas shopping done Saturday but I'm worried I won't have enough breast milk expressed by then, could she have some formula just for that day? Or would that upset her? Many thanks0

How did you get on at the docs sunshine?
Toni - having formula for a day won't do her any harm but you might find she's not particularly eager to drink it if she's used to BM. I think if you're completely out of the house your OH will have a better chance of her taking it. Can't really help as I've never managed to get George to take formula, but I didn't try him with it til he was coming up 5 months old and knew exactly what he wanted - boobs!
Felt a bit sad yesterday - went to tesco and realised that next time we go G will probably be too big for the baby seat on the trolley! It says max 9kg and he was 8.6 two weeks ago. The last week or so is the first time I've felt sad about him growing up, newborns are cute and all but the last month has definitely been the most enjoyable for me. And now he has teeth and will be in the big boy trolley seat. He'll be at university in no time!

Oh katie! Your post made me smile!
Ladies....talk cot/nursery projectors to me....
Toni_ if you are struggling with expressing, try to see if you can have baby on one boob, pump on the other. I always gets loads more this way as baby stimulates multiple letdowns for you0 -
We had a projector, I think we used it twice, he liked it but it over stimulated him, he wouldn't sleep with it on. It was Fisher Price Under the Sea one I think. There is a projector/mobile that has won loads of awards, but it's not too cheap I don't think. We have an amazing mobile (well it's just a music box now as he could stand and it wasn't safe) it's the Fisher Price Jungle One, the music is awesome, Beethoven, Mozart etc, so not annoying at all. I love it and still use it every single dayThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

We had the same mobile as gilly, the rainforest fisher price one. It was really good but I had to return it as the first one broke after a couple of months and the replacement made a horrible creaky noise every time it went round. I think I was very unlucky though as fisher price have a pretty good rep in terms of durability. Now we have this http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9087024.htm which is ok, I mainly just use the sounds/music as the projector is a bit poop - the pictures don't move, and are a bit blurry. You do get a couple of different slides but overall not worth the best part of £30. But I was struggling to get G in and out of the cot with the fp one as its quite big - he kept getting a frog in his eyes!Newborn thread member
