  • Toni- try what turtle suggested works for me too plus saves time. Not sure how long you are shopping for but definitely try to express as your lo will prefer to formula. I guess you will need 3-4oz for each feed. Not sure how old your lo is and how often she feeds. I was away from Niall for 6 hours at the weekend and left dh with 4 bottles of 100ml .....he was having the last one as I returned.

Sunshine....hope Aidan is ok, poor guy picking up an infection

I threw up a few times this morning but feeling fine now just must have been something i ate.

Just pumping as we speak my parents have taken Niall for about 4 hours so I can get on with some jobs and some study. Better get moving then and concentrate on one job as I do too many at once and then they don't all get finished.

Oh katie! Your post made me smile! :)
    Ladies....talk cot/nursery projectors to me....

We still use our one with Charlie - we have the BT Monitor and Pacifier, and it projects a starry night show onto the ceiling. He loves it. We only use it to relax him when he's lying in bed though but switch off if we want him to sleep xx

Sunshine - Just a suggestion, we are doing it with Charlie - the nursery are now keeping a food diary for him and writing down when he has a slight reaction to something - whether it be coughing or getting a rash (which he does).

We're still not 100% if all his coughing is due to allergies, milk intolerance, wheat intolerance or something physically wrong with him. But hopefully us giving this to the hospital in January will help them have a better idea too.

His coughing has got really bad over the past few nights too, but i've noticed his nose running again, so know its more than likely a cold that's aggravating it this time.

Hope you guys get to the bottom of it, hugs

    xx

Thanks very much for the replies, I'll try expressing when she's feeding and hopefully ill have more luck. Ill be leaving her 6 hours too, I have no idea how much she'll drink, she's 8 weeks old.

How many times would she feed in that time? I guess two or three. Aim for three bottles of 3 ozs (90 mls) and if you can manage it, perhaps a fourth one too. Make them all up as single bottles, that way you won't waste any precious milk if she doesn't take it all. If you've got any left over you can freeze it.

Yea 3 feeds normally but she's abit all over the place lately, thanks for your help, I'll try to get 4 bottles for her, I've got a couple of cartons of formula in the cupboard just in case she decides to be a right little piggy :) she still doesn't have much of a routine at the moment
