oh and Katie I'm impressed you can just rattle off the name of a pushchair and it's features etc!! I had to look up what mine was called LOL
EDIT: they're £330!!!!! are you having a laugh!!!!!! no way would I pay that for a pushchair0 -
You can pick up Phil and Ted 3 wheelers pretty cheap pre-loved I'd imagine those would be a good pram for jogging.

Ha I'm not sure it's a good thing to be obsessed with pushchairs! The mura was on my want list when I got the spin in September, but even 2nd hand they're too expensive.Newborn thread member

Morning All
Sammie - prayers be said for the passing of the jumperoo in your house :0 we are still going strong lol we have the Xmas tree in a play pen, the jumperoo, walker, one Xmas present of a little tikes grand coupe :0 and a ride on toy :0 are living room is small there is not a lot of crawling room !
Turtlemoose - not that I jog lol but I don't think u could run with that pushchair think you would need a baby jogger/ phil & teds type 3 wheeler.
Jediquigley- we did Pur!e to start with and introduced finger foods as we went along not at the start. I think that if your child will be going into nursery during weaning phase might be worth checking they do blw, also how much time do you have blw takes longer to feed, pur!es are more prep unless using pouches/jars, also how big is your baby if they were very light & you are always worrying about weight then I would be less inclined for blw but if doing combo can load em up then give them the finger food after which is what we did later on. Obviously if you are nervous about gagging then full blw could be a bit stressful but they will gag anyway lol u will get used to it ! Also we are starting the fussy phase so useful to have an army of different feeding methods0 -
Thanks all for pushchair tips. I had a look online last night and was totally baffled if im honest, when i bought mine i just went for price (budget was £150 - ended up spending £96 yay lol), had to include a car seat ,and had to have good reviews. I wasn't even bothered about the colour as long as it was relatively gender neutral.
Watching some one ebay, seems you can pick up a 3 wheeler for about £40. That's a lot of money for me at the moment so think I am going to go for a brisk walk 3 times a week for a month first - if i stick to it then i may invest.
What's everyone up to? I'm just about to get us both dressed and head off to chelmsford to meet a handful of ladies from the fb group.
It's bloomin cold today though! Brrrr!0 -
Sleeping seems to be improving. Having had a month of Freddie waking 7 or 8 times a night, I decided to mum up a bit. If he woke within 2 hours of last being fed, I ignored him because he CAN'T BE HUNGRY!
Started this on Friday night, where he woke four times that were ignored, on Saturday he woke three extra times, and last night only one! Each time he cries for just a couple of minutes then goes back to sleep. Hopefully, I've cracked it. It's certainly nice to feel human again instead of the sleep-deprived zombie I was starting to become"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Hope u have a lovely time Turtlemoose !
Just got family coming tomorrow so tidying and possibly present wrapping0 -
Morning all
Ro - we are keeping the jumperoo now!! We have moved our Christmas tree to the dining end of our lounge so we can keep the jumperoo in its place. Soooo happy (probably even more happy then Noah about it!!)
We have decided to sell our graco sweet peace swing as that took up a lot of room so we can put his new toys in its place.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend, I haven't read back yet.

Yay to keeping the jumperoo sammie! I'm having similar problems with where to put the tree. Think its just going to have to go in the corner and move the tv a bit...

Breastfeeding product - well no surprise that lansinoh cream won, that stuff is a miracle cream!!! The pads (awarded silver) were good too, I gave them a high score. Can't believe the Emma Jane bra got shortlisted, I thought it was rubbish. And the theraline wynnie feeding cushion - love love love loved this!
skincare - Yes the booboo baby stuff is absolutely wonderful. I really love it, so gentle which is handy as Reuben now has eczema (although seems to be being kept at bay so far fingers crossed). Smells lovely - these were my absolute faves. Surprised that the green baby stuff made it to shortlist though, I thought they all smelled really weird. The Organic Babies range was nice too, especially the really thick cream thing - that was excellent on dry skin (both me and Reu!)
aimless what did you think of the posh ones, was it called MERINO or something like that? tiny bottle of oil and tiny pot of cream? I wasn't impressed really, no different to any other oil (bio oil etc). Certainly glad I didn't pay for it!
jedi have fun shopping!!
Not sure if we had the same Emma Jane bra, but again mine's relegated to bottom of the washing pile
The Merino stuff just didn't grab me at all, I tried it enough to review it, and it's still in the envelope now. You can tell what was good by what is still in regular use.All the Boo Boo stuff lives in my bathroom, the Organic Babies? Rescue Balm stuff, and the Boob nursing top were the real winners for me. I liked both the pumps I was sent too, but I don't pump very often.
Amazon Family have another Plum discount code, that's what I came to post.
On the puree v blw front, it depends on the baby. My pair, me, and my Mum all gag very easily, I find it hard to swallow big tablets even. Must be a genetic thing.
Just musing, before blenders etc, did everyone do blw? As some animals regurgitate for their young, I wondered if primative man would have at least prechewed for their young, if not quite going that far?0
