I think if it were me I would also be quite offended (unless something dramatic is going on in her life that you perhaps don't know about, and she is just distracted), and would just ignore her.

It'll be her who looks bad, and actually it says a lot about the sort of person she is.

I spent a lot of time when I was younger tryig to make an effort with people who didn't bother about me.

These days I am very much of the mind that if someone upsets me or doesn't make any effort, I just forget about them. Easier said I know when it is a family member, but life is too short to worry about people who can't be ar5ed.

I'd just send thank you cards to all your friends and family who sent you presents, and ignore your sister. She'll ultimately miss out on her niece.

Kira I wouldnt worry about it - My sister and brother never came to see me or Amy either and they both only live a street away lol Its families for you!

Amy's doing well - is now 8lb 12oz and a booby monster! Those of you who remember my issues with weight - I got back to my pre birth weight super fast and now weigh 11 stone 6lb Thyroid medication getting checked at 6 weeks and am dreading it.

Not sleep well at the moment - Amy is, I'm not! - and keep over laying in the morning to get DD to school :-/ oh well . . .

I too try not to get stressed at what people do or don't do - particularly as I'm often one those people who means to do stuff but all too often a month or two goes by before I get round to it ....... and then it seems too late now lol.

Could your sis be annoyed that she didn't get any direct communication from you about Lo's birth? I announced my LO on facebook and by txt but didn't phone peeps this time round as it was a particularly fraught time and I'm sure I must have offended a few rellies in the process.

Poor Kira. I would be miffed as well, but totally agree with metranil in that there comes a point where you just stop bothering with some of the people in your life who are too much hard work.

I told mum and dad and asked them to tell the relatives. I texted close friends a day of two later, but someone congratulated me on facebook, before I had put the news on there. I guess the person didn't think but it was a little thoughtless!

Didn't get much sleep last night. The 4 hour routine means that Daniel only gets 4 bottles during the day (plus solids) and he was screaming for his bottle at 10:30 pm. So fed him and he was awake again at 3:30am. Staved him off with the dummy til 5am where he took another full 8oz bottle. It feels like I've got a hungry newborn, not a 4 + month baby. Will have to try and dream feed him I think, at 10pm, before he wakes up. And like Mimi I have to wake us all up to get DD out to school for 9am.

Hi all just popping onto say Hi as I haven't logged on for a couple of days. It's my birthday today :j but feeling really rotten with a cold so just chilling. Although we are taking the boys to Pizza Hut for tea . Jacob and DS2 both have it as they are miserable so it's all fun here!!!

Kira I know where you are coming from. When DS1 was born one of DH's sisters didn't bother acknowledging he had been born. In the end I told my in laws that she had upset DH and they told her off! She said nobody had let her know I was out of hospital can you believe! Still didn't get a card or present from her though :rotfl:! And having Jacob who was DS3 we hardly got anything from people as 'being another boy there is nothing he could possibly need'. Oh well nowt as queer as folk!
