Its been lovely reading the thread today and seeing some old friends and new, posting! Have made it one of my resolutions to try to post more - won't promise to do it every day as I know I dont always manage it (always manage to read though lol)

Had a lovely meal out with DD's and their partners, then came home changed into PJs and chilled - now off to watch a DVD in bed and relax

    Have a good evening all

Mmmm, twice in the same week, not sure if you lot are blessed or I have too much time on my hands this week, obviously something in the housework line is still waiting to be done...lol! Anyway spent a very 'nice' time last night with my OH, just the two of us (stop sniggering Candy), saw in the New Year at 12, went to bed after Jools Holland, woke early, debated getting up but fell back asleep and then woke at 10.30 to breakfast in bed...a very good start to 2012. Glad to say goodbye to 2011, its not been a good year for us, but hopefully things are on the turn and 2012 will be better, we also let off a lantern last night for Emma, my friends daughter and only child who died in May, aged 21 and for any other absent friends, they are gone now but will never be forgotten.
Today I did not do much, having been up late and all but I cleaned the kitchen, made some soup for lunch, put on 3 washes (my darling DS 'cleaned' his room into the washing basket), I spent some time with my new Kindle and I actually made some cards, I asked for and got a lot of crafting stuff for Christmas so intend to make good use of it, might even try to sell some later on. I am blaming Bitsy on this, (joking) I loved your cards and hope that this will reactivate my creative juices, I used to be quite good at art and creative before life took over....and I have enjoyed the couple of cards I have made so far...
Dinner was fillet steak and Patas Bravas, steak was bought on special just before Christmas and was really nice tonight, just as well because it will be some time before we have it again. Dessert was trifle, which I had some, don't usually but it was a nice ending to the meal.
I don't do resolutions because they always lapse after a day or two but would like to think I can contribute to the daily at least a couple of times a week, lets see how that goes....
Now sitting with my glass of wine in front of the telly, watching Russell Crowe and reading MSE, can't be bad. By the way, BB I accepted your friend request (though we might be already!)
Will enjoy the rest of the night and tomorrow because Tuesday brings work and I can't even begin to think about that now....Hugs and high fives to all those who want or need one.

How long did that take? Thought she deserved a more dramatic send-off than that. Sorry I missed 'The Hotel' now.

Just spent nearly 2 hours contacting family down south as DD and I have a few days off and decided pay a flying visit to as many family members as we can. Need a lie down now!

I know it's late and probably no-one will see this, but I just had to wish everyone a A REALLY HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR and to thank you all for the company, the laughs, the tears and the friendship. You are all wonderful.:A:A:A:A:A

Kaz; Have you tried dabbing neat TCP on the ulcer? Works for me.

Happy New Year to you too!

Thanks for the info but think I should leave well alone to see if it calms down. I've got absolutely loads of ulcers all along the edge of both sides of my tongue and under the tip!

It's not been quite as painful today but I now have a few small ones on my lips. Tried to eat a yogurt tonight & it set off the stinging again plus I couldn't taste it at all. Thought it might cool it down :o

I've been looking for advice on the net (like you do??!!) and I'm now wondering if I have "Burning tongue syndrome?!

Will be on the phone to the Docs on Tuesday.:(

    Happy New Year all.

Really need to get myself sorted this year...house is untidy and carpet upstairs needs to be hoovered badly....

My one resolution last year was to learn to swim....I did it but need to practice more as I am not yet ready for Olympics....maybe 2016!

Nice to see those of you who have been missing....

Cold and windy here, hope to get out for a walk to-morrow as could do with the fresh air, and the exercise.

Back to-morrow....sleep well and stay safe.

I had tearing strolling down my face watching it tonight.:(

As Frank Butcher used to say "I love ya Pat".

I hope to goodness Janine has turned a corner. David Wicks is a bit of alright though:D

Not done a thing OS today, will do better tomorrow.
