Another one coming out of lurkdom to say Happy New Year!

I hate New Years Eve, always feel really depressed. Been single for over 10 years, and the kids were at their Dad's, so all alone. Anyway, I always seem to perk up after the event, and sure enough am feeling fine today.

Today I have been decorating - been putting it off since the summer when I did the top landing and stairs (live in a 3 storey house). Just got the first coat on the middle floor, so having a break on here whilst I wait for it to dry before starting the next coat.

Hope to post on here more this year, but we'll see. I often don't feel as if I have much OS to say, so puts me off posting, although I read every day.

Anyway, hope 2012 brings all everyone wants, and everyone has a fab year. :)

Afternoon ladies & gents  & a Happy New Year to you all.
Very quiet seeing in of the new year here last night, just DD, her BF, myself & DP. DD did a small buffet all with ys items from mr t & co-op, the others were all drinking but I just had a small glass of white wine (v thoughtfully provided by DD's BF) with the bells & then went to bed. Woke up at 7 and out of the 3 dogs & 2 cats only 1 dog got up with me, so let her out & went back to bed intending to read for a bit & woke up at 11.30 :o v. cross with myself I was :D
Still very quiet today, DS apparently came in at 10 am & went straight to bed, DD & BF are just stirring now & DP is playing his new game on the xbox.
Dinner tonight is roast pheasant, have found a recipe with a stuffing of cream cheese & grapes  & sauce made with brandy, stock & single cream:drool::drool:, no grapes so have substituted some pears that I froze earlier in the year, have also defrosted some blackberries & will use those with the rest of the pears to make a crumble, this meal will see off a lot of bits that have just been sitting in the fridge/ freezer so very :money:I think.
Hope everyone is doing something they enjoy today x
    Hugs, spoons & hi5's as required x
    Happy non-birthday FMW :)

    Happy New Year everyone!!

As everyone else seems to popping in I didn't want to miss the fun!

I never keep NY resolutions but I'm determined to take care of ME this year instead of spreading myself too thinly trying to keep everyone else happy!

I've spent the last few days in agony with a mouth full of ulcers & a burning tongue that I suspect has been caused by me being run down & not eating properly. :o

So lets go girls (and the odd boy when they show their faces ;) ) & show 2012 what we're made of!

All the best everyone & hugs to those in need.
