    Evening all!

Happy New Year to you all. We had a lovely evening last night, some friends had a party, although I was on the water. We left around 2am, went home, I had a cocktail and fell asleep, OH and the boys partied on in the livingroom til 4.30am. I think I am raising a pair of party animals :rotfl:

I have had a lazy day, went to m and s yesterday and bought some ready meals for today's dinner, chinese, which we are about to have. Diet starts tomorrow, I am determined to lose weight for my youngest sister's wedding in June. First pound went in my sistercas fund this morning, and my new calendar is up, mealplan for the week sorted.

Hugs to Bramble, hope you are OK pet.xxx

    Happy New Year.

I'm going to try popping in here a bit more often too. I can't remember if I've posted on this thread before but I am a regular lurker.

I've spent the last few days in agony with a mouth full of ulcers & a burning tongue that I suspect has been caused by me being run down & not eating properly. :o

Kaz, I've come up with a set of symptoms this Christmas that I recognise as food intolerance/allergy ones for me. I know what I've eaten that has been different from normal so working out what caused the problem is going to be fairly straightforward I think.

It just occurred to me that what you describe might be an allergy/intolerance type thing as well, and I wondered if you, too, have eaten anything this Christmas that you wouldn't have eaten at any other time of year and it's set something off. Just a thought. Hope you feel better anyway.

Realised DS2 had left a bag full of his things here and he is off to Helsinki in the morning and needed some of it. Cue DD and I taking Sunday dinner over to Edinburgh and finished cooking it at his place. I had cooked the casserole steak in the sc overnight so just put a pie crust on when we got there and cooked the veg. It was lovely!

Took all the decs down this morning and had a good clean through so house looking spick and span, just DDs bedding to put on the airers. Having a relax now - may have a glass of red in a mo.

Tru - I hope your DS is ok and the lo safe. My DS1 is with a bit of a nutter but unfortunately as they now have a DD he feels he is stuck, have tried telling him that it may be better for their DD if they parted but he then refuses to speak to me. He has been totally brainwashed by his partner and it has caused a big rift in the family. She may be able to control him but she's not controlling me - this has made matters worse as I am a bit on the stubborn side. She twists everything that has been said and then wants me to apologise, a long wait there!

Anyway, sorry for the rant. Take care. XX

De-lurked last night after being a long timer reader on here. Went to bed at 11 last night as had driven 240 miles to visit my Mum in hospital. She is 91 and very poorly so after that didn't really feel up to staying up to see the New Year in.
Hope everyone has had a good New Year's Day. I'm determined to cut the amount of money we spend on food this year so will be meal planning tomorrow. Really need to de-clutter some paperwork but as usual keep finding excuses not to, perhaps I need to do the 15 minutes at a time thing. Now have a bottle of Stardrops so feel like I can be more OS.
Going to try and start a Sistercas fund too. hugs and best wishes to all that need them.

    Happy New Year to everyone

Been to work today, 6-2 and it was very quiet!
Went to see a friend on the way home so arrived back very late, but I went in Mr S and managed to get some stirfry, aubergines and salad for 30p!! I would have some fruit as well, but 2 people there were in prime position and helping themselves to absolutely everything, there was a few very disappointed shoppers and I thought someone may have said something but nobody did.

Havent done much since, Im very tired as the fireworks around here woke me up and didnt stop until 1.30am (not at the same house all the time) and I dont really mind too much cos if I hadnt been working I would have been somewhere to, mind you on my way to work I did see some stragglers going home (one in the middle of the road) all the worse for having a good time:rotfl:

Anyway, I think I will make a milky drink and go up to bed and read my book for a bit, nitey night

Thanks for thinking of me! I have a lot of allergies but not usually food related. When the 1st ulcer appeared I used my DS's antiseptic mouthwash that I bought him following a tooth extraction. I think it may have been too strong & caused the burning sensation.

I still think the ulcers could be caused by not taking care of myself lately. As I've got 67 hours lieu time owing & 21 days annual leave to use before April I've obviously been spending too much time at work since my colleague passed away! Time to give myself a stern talking to!! ;)
