I wonder what kind of offices some people on here work in? I can imagine this type of sexual banter in a staff room or warehouse, but have never heard anything close to this in any office environment. The pub at lunch time possibly, but never 'at work!' It just wouldn't be tolerated, in my experience. DH says the same and is in a completely different industry.
I guess it depends on if the banter is aimed at anyone in particular and how obscene it is.
Ive worked in retailers, and in offices and in all of them, at some point, there has been talk about sex of some sort. Some in more detail than others - in one shop I knew all the sex toys each woman in there owned, and in another it was just funny jokes about celebs we fancied. In an office I worked in, we would often make jokes about suppliers who came in, there was one guy in particular, I cant remember why now but we used to make jokes about him having sexual relations in various funny places with his colleagues - and we were a mix of men and women joking together about it on our team.
We didnt ever joke about each other though in a rude way or nasty way, but most people shared personal stories and stuff - although more often that was out of the office on a night out. And no one was ever forced to say anything they didnt want to.
So if someone had not wanted to comment, they didnt, and that was fine. Everyone was always laughing though.
Ive also heard my DHs mate - who to any woman would appear to be a very friendly, polite, gentleman, make some actually quite shocking comments about various women before. Hed never say it infront of me though :rotfl:0 -

So presumably you aren't allowed to think about anyone else either?

Regarding the overheard conversation, I know men should behave better, but sometimes they don't and tbh the content of the convo was so ridiculous to be taken seriously so honestly, I'd tell him off but not think anymore of it (And also ask if he would like his daughter to be spoken about like that!) .:mad:But if ever I stray from the path I follow
Take me down to the English Channel
Throw me in where the water is shallow And then drag me on back to shore!
