Anyone Got a Good Man?

I have a wonderful man. We will have been together for 3 years in April. We met when I was recovering from surgery and was miserable from splitting up with my ex a month beforehand. Ex was a donkey but I was convinced because of my health no man would ever be interested in me. My mates dragged me out to see their band playing in a pub in the next town and I had no idea that I was being set up with my DP. It became apparent about an hour after I got there and whilst I thought DP was the most stunning man on the planet, I wasn't interested in men, specifically men who were younger than me as DP is by 2 years and men who smoked and drank as DP does lol.
We did however swap numbers and had a cheeky snog at the end of the night before he royally pee'd me off by being nasty to another mate I was with. I told him to delete my number and not bother contacting me again. He text me at 3am apologising for being drunk and asking if he could have another chance of making a first impression. I ignored him and then he text me again at 8pm the following night again apologising and telling me that he felt he had messed up the best thing that could ever happen to him. I was impressed he text me again so I decided to let him take me out but told him I wanted nothing heavy and no hanky panky as I was recovering from surgery and from my ex. He was fine just wanted my company.
It took me a month of seeing him 3 nights a week and constantly being on the phone or texting for me to realise that I had not only fallen for this man but I trusted him more than anyone I'd ever known. I'd told him things I never tell anyone and he was still interested. He's my world and I adore him. He's not perfect by a long shot and has broken my heart once while we've been together but I figure people deserve a second chance and so far he's done everything to put it right and so much more besides and were so happy and looking forward to moving in together this year!
I love him more than anything and while he annoys me more than any other person on the planet, I can't imagine my life without him. He is my carer, my soul mate, my everything. He still smokes although he did try to give up because I hate it but he got so moody I told him to carry on lol. He still drinks but doesnt go out half as much as he used to, he travels 20 mins every night to see me spends his only day off on Sunday all day with me. He is my future
Wonderful thread and I could go on forever about the wonderful things that DP does for me but I don't have the time.0 -
