Anyone Got a Good Man?

I too think this is a lovely thread. So nice to read nice comments about men for a change.
My husband drives me mad at times (as I am sure I do him) but I love him to bits. We have been married 32 years (5 months after meeting) and are as much in love now as we were then. We are always cuddling and holding hands. He makes me laugh all the time and never bores me. He is definitely my best friend. The world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -

He is so understanding and has helped me through the worst time of my life, he made me see there was something to carry on for. He's caring, affectionate, a wonderful father to our son and he even does housework too!
I adore him, we were made for each other, we are always hugging and kissing and we make each other laugh a lot. I love spending time with him even if it's just watching telly or keeping him company when he goes for his daily dump!
oh, and he's also "well hung" if you know what I mean!
Too much information :eek:0 -
I have a lovely boyfriend who is currently putting together a magazine holder for me, even though he has worked a long 12 hour shift and is feeling tired. I love him to bits, he is so kind and caring and the best boyfriend ever!!!!:j0

I have a wonderful man too. He is my soul-mate, my best friend and would do anything for me. When I am too ill to shower he will give me a wash and wash my hair. Every week he fills the bath and helps me in and out. He cooks and cleans and never complains.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I am lucky enough to have a fab husband too. We got engaged 6 weeks after we met, moved in together the following month, got married the following year & had our first dd the year after that. We've been married 25 years later this year.
He's a brilliant Dad to our 3 dd's, works very hard and has provided us all with a fantastic lifestyle, didn't rush me into going back to work when dd's were born, when I did go back to work, he didn't want me putting any of my salary into the household so I have been able to build a lovely nest-egg for the future. He cooks, does the ironing and drives me & dd's about even though we all drive, he's happy to pick up/drop off if we want to have a drink on a night out.
I love him to bits and realise how lucky I am to have such a fab man!0 -
I have a good in, married 23 years this year, I was 18 and he was 19. Can't wait until we retire together.0

What a great thread!
I had a good man for 6 years. We were great friends, much in love and made a good go of it and were very happy - sadly it didn't work out for posterity, but I'm grateful for the years we had together.
I'm double lucky in that after that relationship ended and I moved continents, I met another amazing man. He's adventurous, brave, compassionate and (I think!) very handsome. He's had a hard go of life so far and can be a lot of work, but being with him is incredibly rewarding and makes me so happy. No children but we provide a home for two very lucky dogs

That is soooo true! My OH and his brother have a few similarities, but are mostly opposite to each other!
On topic - Yes, I have a lovely man too. Took me a while to find him, but I'm so glad I did.
He works hard, has done well already and has enough drive and ambition to go further if he wants to (though I think relaxing th work thing a bit would be better for him mentally/stress wise).
He's kind, supportive, understanding, intelligent, helpful, caring with a heart of gold. (he's also stubborn at times, but aren't we all?)
He's fixed our washing machine several times, and repaired a favourite dish of mine (has sentimental value), keeps our computers up to date and virus free, and always seems to find solutions that I can't.
He's a good listener, and can help me to see things from another perspective. He loves hugs! So do I!
He's got Friday off, and working from home all next week, to help me recover after my op. And he's been discussing my fears with me, to help keep the nerves at bay, and talking me through the solutions to my worries, so he'll also be the one washing my hair next week, cooking my meals, making my drinks etc etc.
And all that on top of the stress caused by his brother, and trying so hard to help get him back on a good path in life. And also trying to repair the relationship with his Dad (which is pretty much a one sided effort).
And he's good looking. And great in bed too.;)
I love him muchly!
