  • Oh dear £21 pounds on Autograph lingerie in the final clearance down from £106.
The fact that its meant for brides in no way put me off. Can't resist cream silk in any guise.

£30 on a lovely dress reduced from £59 but I haven't picked it up from the store yet.
So I won't update my signature just yet.

    I don't know what's happening with M + S designs lately. They are dreadful.
Which hopefully will keep me on my target spend this year.

I keep reading a thread on Charity Shop finds. I have only ever taken my unwanted clothes into the Charity Shop might be time for me to start shopping in there xx

Glad everyone is doing so well.

I have two jackets I wear a lot, a winterone, Lands end so quite expensive (but in the sale) and a tesco cheapie mac for rainy summer days ...

Now my (70 odd) year old mother has bought the same ones, the same shade of red in my winter jacket and the same flower pink as my summer mac. (she also bought the same one to give to her friend!)

Is it wrong that I really want a new coat? That she never sees, just so that I dont end up as my mums twin? LOL!

You have my sympathies - my Mum pulled the same stunt on my sister and she was furious :rotfl:

But it was her own fault for telling my Mum about her bargainous coats and jackets, I keep that info to myself.

went to town with DH and he spent £200 on clothes:eek::eek::eek::eek:I looked at a shrug I had seen online from Phase 8 but was not very nice so I spent nothing on clothes and just collected my free handcream from Occitanne:A
I don't like this inbetween season(as named by an SA),sales almost over and far too cold to even think of summer stuff:rotfl:
  • Wowser £200 - oh we can dream!!

Well done you for not buying! Agree that I'm totally uninspired by the stuff in the shops at the minute which makes it easier to resist!

    Morning all!

Confessing to £8.50 spent online at Matalano, for a scarf (intended to go with sale top which didn't arrive - out of stock) and 3 packs of 5 undies, should see me good for quite a while.

Thnks for your support everyone! I think its that I am also quite large chested, as is my mother, and I just see her in these coats, and its not really the look I am going for (Frump and NOT Fab to paraphrase another forum) gah and humbug!

Oh your poor mum, I feel quite sorry for her now - but yes, I'm not 100% sure I'd want my mum dressing like me, though she does covert a particular outfit I have (she'd be right in there nicking it if she was my age) and she does have quite a good eye for what suits and what doesn't (she once spent her entire weeks wages on a pair of Ravel shoes when she was in her twenties...now I wonder where I get it from? :rotfl:)

I'm quite torn atm, there's a gold vest top I like in Dotty P's - need order online as they don't have a 6 in store, but have a 15% off code, and there's a superdry t-shirt I've been coverting for months that I can use a code with - but I'm not supposed to be spending this month ... but if I leave it untl next month I'll have to pay more. Gold top is to wear under a jumper (already have one from NL but it's a bit itchy and a little low - baps ahoy!) so this could be a useful buy, and the S'Dry top is stripy, a la 'where's wallly' but I 'do' stripes ... oh decisions decisions

It is annoying to have similar styles...but also great for sharing a borrowing!!

We dont have similar styles (thankfully) she always wears those old lady stylee dresses (but without elasticated waists, she cant have anything that touches her waist, no skirts or trousers) always in support tights, hates scarves and thinks I am a weirdo for wearing them ... which is why it was rather bizzare that she decided to copy my clothing!

Also she is a midget, so my two jackets are full length coats on her!

I do love the old lady tho, I make special searches around the markets and independent shops of south london for the particular style of dress she wears (without aforementioned elasticated waist!)
