Just checked back on my yearly spreadsheet, Total spent £586.45 which is £86.45 over my target
I did also spend an additional $137 when I was in the US using a gift card and USD I already had (double:o as on top of that I spent £215 of my above total as well - whoops!)
I also spent £209.20 on sports clothing - not as bad as it might seem as £75 was for a new pair of trainers which were paid for with b'day money (previous ones had holes in), £9.97 was from Paypal funds and £61.74 of the spend was actually for a Halloween costume performance. Excluding my trainers and paypal, real £ spent was £124.23.
I must admit falling off the wagon during the second half of the year somewhat, but it also shows me that overall my area of spending isn't really on clothes (or at least its not a 'problem' area for my budget).
I've spent about £710 of 'real' money this year, which is slightly under what I've spent previously - but then I do think I haven't been shopping quite as much (or I have and taken lots back :rotfl:)
Still a few days to go but prob won't hit any sales until after 1st Jan anyway.
Since I keep a spending diary anyway, I'm not going to be rejoining for 2013 - but I will still be keeping an eye on everyone on here. Well done to everyone in 2012 - thank you to Lula for running this challenge, and welcome citizenK and Lotti as new thread keepers :TFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi everybody,
Well today is going to be a no spend day for me, and tomorrow I'll be going to work. As I'm 7 hours behind you by the time I get home you'll all be celebrating the New Year so I'd just like to take this opportunity to say Happy New Year to you all and may all your hopes and wishes for the year ahead come true for you.
Thanks once again to Lula-Hula for running the thread all these years, you've done a tremendous job, and for me, being a part of it kept me on the straight and narrow.
I won't be joining in with the new challenge but I wish you all well on your own Completely Crazy journey.
And a final declaration for me - no spend for me in December :T0 -
I'm really pleased to say that I've got through a whole year without spending any money on clothes! :j
I also became debt free this year, which is partly due to this challenge.:D
A big thank you to Lula-Hula for running the thread and to Kerfuffle for being my no spend buddy for the year.
I've realised how much I used to spend for the buzz of it rather than on what I actually needed, and my attitude to clothes has really changed. I've loved 'freeing' clothes that I've had but forgotten about, and have bagged up loads of clothes that don't fit me anymore and passed on to friends and charity shops.
Good luck to everyone joining the challenge in 2013. I'm still considering joining again but need to decide my limits. There are some items I need to buy because of weight loss and wearing out but I'm planning to get them all this week. Maybe another 51 weeks of no spending after that?LBM Feb 2005 - £36000:o DFD 28th May 2012

Have just checked my total and nearly fallen off the chair after realising that I've come in under budget :eek: *fans self*
My total is £423.50 which is well under the £500 I aimed for. There is a further £60 on gym clothes which I didn't count - they were necessary in order to do the activity as I didn't have anything suitable - and £105 on clothes just for work, most of which were needed and have been worn loads (the shirt hasn't and might have been a bit of a mistake, but it was bought to wear for interviews).
I'm really pleased with this - will aim for the same again in 2013.
Thank you to our lovely Lula and see you on the new thread
