Hello emslovesmickey and welcome
I've failed good and proper now. T-shirts from Uniqlo, on offer but still spent £30. I don't know.

No further purchases from those I listed in post #1465, so my spend to the end of October remains:-
Cash–£6/150 spent
House Of Fraser Vouchers – £36/122
M&S Vouchers – £50/50
Total spend for 2012 – £92
So, unfortunately not a no spend October- will see what November brings.
May contain nuts. Your mileage may vary. Batteries not included. Thanks to all posters

Hello lovely peoples,
thank you for all your kind messages & I think I might well need to be a member next year even if I'm not running the challenge:rotfl:
I've been thinking that I may well have a go at emulating Antwacky's .
My ebay addiction has not diminished & rumours that I have been stocking up on pretty vest tops in Primarni are indeed true
- Lotti379 - you're not a little hoper & you're not alone
Well done to all you October No-Spenders :A:T I've added you to the front page.
A very big friendly welcome to emslovesmickey :hello: I've added your name to the list, even if you haven't been 'officialised' with a budget. It's never too late to join a challenge & this is a lovely one to be involved in.
NGlady - well done you for the weight loss & also for achieving Debt Freedom :j brilliant effort :T
Just a few weeks to go ...
Anyone wanting to take over next year ?0 -
Unfortunately I've been having health problems so the clothes budget completely went out the window for one reason or another.
Am up for trying again next year (not running the challenge, she hastily added!) because I'm going to have more surgery and lose more weight so will need more clothes - or learn to adjust the ones I have.

Almost managed a no spend October but had to buy some boots when I realised my old pair of boots were no longer waterproof and had a nail head sticking up from the heel. Tried taping over it and putting in insole but rubbed right through to my sock, grrr! (they were cheap from Primarni last year)
My only other boots have a hihg heel, no good for day to day wear.
So bought a pair from BHS/Evans (got tree trunk legs!) for £49.50, eek!
Are they good for tree trunk legs then? I have a nightmare looking for boots. I'm a size 10-12 (clothes not shoes!) but i have rather large calves (genetic so there isn't really anything i can do about them) so i have trouble finding boots that fit.0 -
Sorry , I haven't been contributing for a long time. I am feeling sorry for myself, having been overspent by £60 on the challenge, and then this morning I have ruined my favourite grey cardigan. Argg...:-(
I have used too much stain remover and the colour is gone from it on a big patch. Any ideas how to save it ?CC consolidated to £3400

awww no!It's so frustrating when you think you have got the stain out too. Depending on what the cardi is made from possibly dyeing it either a shade same or a shade darker. Or if the stain is not too bad -is it in a place where you could hide it with a brooch or a fancy patch you could sew/iron on(there are some quiet nice sequin type flower ones about) - and if it is really past no wear don't throw it - Use the main body part to make a cushion cover and the arms could possibly make leg warmer type things (or those boot toppers I have seen?)Or you could make a hot water bottle cover out of it???
Just thinking outside the box but hopefully you can save it somehow.
Good Luck - let us know what you decide:)Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

Thanks debbiedeejay !
I have made a challenge out this problem. I asked my sis to make me some pockets with some bright colours for XMas. She is OK with the sawing machine so I hope for a good result. I did get me another cardi last week at a TK sale for £15.00 , which is not too bad.
If it works out I will have 2 fab new cardis :jCC consolidated to £3400
