Anyone wanting to run the challenge next year?

In other news, despite window shopping both internet and real live shops, I have not bought any clothes, shoes, accessories or jewellery since 26th October! :j

YES:) I'd say this will always be a MSE challenge but it's unlikely that the same people will do it every year.

    Hi all
I've sort of given up with this as I keep spending even though I'm over my 2nd budget (blew the first very quickly :( )
So I don't think I'm the right person to take over the thread, sorry

If you shop wisely and in the sales I'm sure you can kit yourself out for your wedding on a small budget. I bought my wedding dress in a sale, shoes from a discount shop and my tiara from eeebay. You'll probably get a decent coat and boots in the sales too.

I used £30 N3xt voucher to buy a new glittery black jumper and jewellery for Christmas parties and bought a £12 sparkly cardi from Primarni to go over my dress from summer. The dress looked fab with my £10 knee high, heeled boots I bought back in Feb in the sale. The cardi also looks good over my work clothes (not too sparkly) and the jumper dresses up jeans but looks really smart with pants.
  • citizenkitten - I'm happy to co-run if that appeals? It might keep me on the straight and narrow! And congratulations on the upcoming wedding!

Have been thinking about the amount of STUFF I own versus what I actually need... I seem to have an awful lot of rubbish, clothes included. I think I would like to live a little more by the quote "have nothing in your home which you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful".

    Thinking cap is firmly on..!

  • This is just the challenge I need! I have a uniform for work so only need clothes for days off. My downfall is charity shop bargains. One of my New Year resolutions is to start savinhg this year so will start off by doing a full inventory of my clothes, shoes, bags, etc  so that I can see exactly what I have. Hopefully that will shock me into not buying any more!
