Morning all!
Kerri - baps ahoy - that made me giggle.
Today I'm wearing a belt I've only ever worn once - then it was an attempt to hold up some big trousers but it kept digging into my rolls of flab:rotfl:.
I'm using it to hoick up a long dress type jumper thingy, really not got the figure to carry off a jumper dress so it now looks like a puffed up short jumper type of thing, much more flattering (though I know it doesn't sound it from my description)0 -
Hi i am new to the site and wonder if it is too late to join? I have recently separated (about a year) and am getting used to one income- have reduced my spend to nothing on new stuff esp. Boden etc (need to stop the catalogue though!) but am still buying stuff I dont need. Fact is i have enough clothes to last a year at least! I dont know how this forum works (or others- new to whole moneysaving site), but i think if i set a £100 limit for the year for clothes for me (not my son - he needs uniform / shoes etc etc|)and stick to it, I would be very happy.0

bought 2 swimsuits last week from tesco direct(I don't include them in my budget as I swim 3 times a week and get through a lot!)one cost £10 and fits like a dream the other was £20 and gapes round the bust so is going back.....I had an email saying if I spend £40 I get 500 bonus points(worth £15 towards buying a Virgin holiday to the USA to see DS1 later this year)so I am returning £20 and have bought 4 of the £10 ones so should last me a while:)
went to see woman in black last night....very scary BUT did I imagine it (for those who have seen it ,those who haven't can you watch out for this?)and see Ms instead of Miss on a certificate in the film?????0 -
Hi, Ilf! There are still 46 weeks left of 2012, it's never too late for a challenge...
I knew it. A certain Stanley dog at Cath K's shop is my downfall. I didn't buy the Royal Stan satchel as the satchels are a tiny bit too small for A4 paper. (and I have the Outer Space satchel already, which is why I know it's too small )
So I got the carryall bag, a zip purse/pencil case(both in Royal Stan) and the flying pig medal set.:D
Signature updated. Nearly bought a new coat but looked too reminiscent of a Michelin man when I checked myself in the mirror. Funny, it didn't look all that padded till I tried it on:rotfl:‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Hello & welcome to ilf999 :hello:
as short_bird has already said it's never to late to join in here
- although I felt just slightly disheartened by the though of another 46 weeks on my budget :rotfl:.
We had a very successful pyjama buying trip at the weekend; for DD ( I'm not buying for me yet) I found a fab pair of zebra print brushed cotton ones reduced to just £2 in the sale at primarni :T we then checked in new look & found another pair of owl print ones for just £6. I'm delighted; £8 for 2 pairs is brilliant, & she still has £58 left in her budget from the 1st 2 months of the year.
Still some time to go on my ebay bid ...0 -
got a couple of spends to declare..
bought a pair of snow boots two weeks ago, yes I know I dont need them now but am sure I will use them again later on in the year and they cost £36. Went into Cambr*dge yesterday and wondered into takki maxx and got a swimsuit for a £10. I have a discount card for the swimming pool and then realised I didnt have a decent swimsuit so thats now been remedied and no excuse for not swimming.
Having a freedom day of long sleeve t shirt underneath my cord dress (and my usual thermal vest)!! whats that saying "dont cast a clout till may be out"?? oh well some time to go then till the vest wearing days are over.SPC Nbr.... 1484....£800 Saved £946 in 2013)
(£1,010 in 2014)
Coveted :staradmin :staradmin from Sue -

I am having a freedom day today, wearing a black and white floral top that I haven't had out of the wardrobe in a while. Unfortunately I now remember why I don't wear it as the neckline does not sit well.VSP member #250

I'm sort of having a freedom day, I'm also wear a black and white floral pattern summer top with a long sleeve black t-shirt underneath for warmth! Still cold though think its just my office! No more spends to declare going to see if I can make it till end of month without clothes buying, osteopath costing me a fortune instead.0

Now you remember why you don't wear it, so wash it when you're done & then get rid of it, immediately. There's no point it sitting in your wardrobe taking up valuable space
