2 pairs of trousers brought back into play via a judicious bit of patching:o and a button replaced on a third pair.

  • Well I am so annoyed with myself. This is typical of the way I frittered money away pre-LBM.
I went into Primarni to get some School tights for my daughter. Came out with a load of bits and bobs for dd. Pre light bulb moment I would regularly spend in there each week. Whaterer I bought always seemed to come to £35. Don't ask me why.

So yesterday I bought black sports socks 6 pairs for £2
3 pairs of slippers (one for the bedroom, one for the bathroom and one for if i need to go out in the garden to the washing line. Am I building a picture for you here?) £8.50

2 Thermal leggings and 2 thermal tops£ 8 to wear under my walking kit( I walk down by the Thames during my lunch break instead of going to the Gym. We have a lovely shower facilities at work. I havent been going during this cold spell and I've put on weight I hope you are following the method in my madness here)

I also bought a pair of those B+rkenst+ck type summer shoes in a nice nude shade as you cant get those in the Summer when you need them £4

So my total spend was £47:eek: But I will extract out my spending and update signature for another £22.50.

I must really keep a tight hold on myself if I go in there again
Its only February and look how much I've spent.

No wonder I ran my credit cards up so high. I used to spend totally unconciously

I know exactly how you feel about primarni, that was my problem too. Still would be if I didnt have you guys =) i would buy a couple of tops or some jeans and suddenly its £35...
  • Hurray another no spend weekend! Think I might make it for a whole no spend month (well on clothes anyway)

I was in JL yesterday looking for new buttons for my bargain coat with tacky buttons but the only ones I liked were £3 each. Since I would need 6 for the coat and the coat only cost £10 in the first place I decided to do without. I can live with the buttons I am sure!

However as I innocently browsed through the womenswear department (will I never learn?) literally everything in Oasis looked lovely and just my style. Will have to stay out of there for the forseeable future!

  • Just popping in to say I've still not spent anything on clothes. :)
It's been made much easier because I've been ill all half term so have had to cancel several outings with friends. Why do teachers always get ill during half term!?!:(

My friend sold a few things for me on T'ebay and there was a lovely cream skirt on there that I watched until it sold but that is about as tempted as I've been so far. :A

I wonder if you could get a CS coat with nice buttons and swap them? Then you could sell the CS coat on the bay and make a profit! Oh I'm good tonight :rotfl:

I stupidly went into Monsoon today and fell for a jumper-type-dress-thingy that would look great with leggings and boots but it was £60 so I put it back. Not so long ago I would have just bought it but today I thought gosh that's 3 months allowance. This thread is having a good influence on me :)
