I had another near-buying-incident
I had to meet DD at Asd@ so while I waited I looked at all the clothes and tried on a top and I quite liked it but it was £12 so I put it back. Phew.
However I then looked at all the home stuff and ended up buying a winter single quilt for next time DS stays, and 2 duvet cover sets for my bed. They were all pretty bargainous but I spent £22So I'm starting to wonder if I need to include house things in my clothes budget, cos I'm buying them instead of clothes IYSWIM! Help!

After taking a £13 Primark dress back to the shop on Friday, I was feeling pretty pleased with myself.
However today I wiped that plus out as I went to Sainsburys to buy some lovely magenta pink trousers I'd seen over the weekend, they were £16.50 with the 25% discount. I will have to get them taken up though, which may cost more than the discount:p
I'm not very good at this am I? :rotfl:0 -

I was in JL yesterday looking for new buttons for my bargain coat with tacky buttons but the only ones I liked were £3 each. Since I would need 6 for the coat and the coat only cost £10 in the first place I decided to do without. I can live with the buttons I am sure!
However as I innocently browsed through the womenswear department (will I never learn?) literally everything in Oasis looked lovely and just my style. Will have to stay out of there for the forseeable future!
Not sure what the buttons are like but what about covering them in some matching or contrasting fabric first? Just a thought.

Oh dear, I *accidently* went on the kurt geiger website just now, there's a pair of boots on there that I like and is down to £39 from £150... I had to call up a friend to ask if I should be buying them lol. I bought 6 pairs of shoes in the sale last year so definitely don't need it, yet I kept thinking if I don't buy it now I'll regret it forever / will struggle to try find boots that style in the future...
In the end I had to google 'how to stop shoe addiction' to persuade myself I don't need them, lol! It's worked for now!
Another thing that helped was thinking of the cost in relation to £100, the shoes are £45 inc postage, when I thought of it as halfway to spending £100, that's a lot of money!:eek:0 -

I know what you mean Rosemary 54. I come into cambridge pretty often and am surprised at the lack of 'cheap' shops. Apart from £land in the grafton centre there are no other equivalent shops. I troll the charity shops and am often raising my eyebrows at their inflated prices... grrrrr

Hello all! You all seem to have an eye for what clothes go together, I'm pants at it! I usually wear black bottoms or jeans. In summer I wear white bottoms to be summery so mixing and matching with tops is fairly easy.
However, in my wardrobe I have a long pillarbox red floaty skirt (tiered effect, silver trim on bottom, think there's a small pattern in it of blue/black/green???? - I'm at work now, trying to imagine it) When I bought it, I wore it with a either a black or white jersey, ribbed cami (both long gone) would love to set it free and wear it again (I'm going out tomorrow night) and thought it would go well with my new long black boots. Question is - what colour of top might go with it apart from white or black? I know it's a longshot as you probably can't visualise the skirt but I'd be keen to hear what colours you wear with red for some inspiration...
I'm really tempted to wear my ribbed pj cami top with it but I'd know it was a pj top, mind you where I live going out in pjs seems to be all the rage lol;)0 -

I had a Red Herring blouse many moons ago and it became one of my most favorite tops. I found it to be normal sizing when I bought it but then it became tight (especially pulling it over my head), I think maybe I put a tiny bit of weight on.
