Thanks everyone for giving me advice about buying new buttons for my coat, you are obviously masters of the clothing challenge!!
I hadn't thought of looking on ebay for some reason, even though they sell everything - although it is a very dangerous place to start browsing! No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

Hey all, I haven't been on here for a few weeks but I do have a few purchases to confess to
1 skirt from cs 1.99
1 pair of trousers from cs 1.99
1 pair of Jeans from Next £26
Total £30
Signature has been updated. So I have now spend £80 so far which I don't think is too bad going! Right I am going to have a catch up on the thread and go see what I can dig out of my wardrobe for a freedom day!
ETA- for the person looking for buttons, I have in the past looked around charity shops for buttons on garments rather than buying standalone buttons - you may get lucky as it might work out cheaper than buying the buttons separatelyCrazy Clothes Challenge 2012 - £80.00 / £300 :hello:0 -

I took my new trousers to an alteration shop near to where I live today, she only charges £5 to take them up which is bargaintastic, but this has pretty much wiped out the 25% saving I had on them. So I'm declaring that £5 and have added it to my total.
I'm finding this so much harder than I thought, though I have sold quite a bit on eBay, and am going to have a bit more of a clearout as I have far too many clothes. I do sometimes free things, but I also need to be a bit more ruthless. If it's not been worn for the past 18 months, then it needs to go!0 -

Fair point but I'd rather pay someone £5 to do it properly than bodge it and end up losing the trousers...it has happened in the past0 -

I could (I think) hem something with a sewing machine as I can actually sew if I need to (for instance if someone held a gun to my head an my life depended on it) but I don't really enjoy sewing and can't justify purchasing a sewing machine...however, Wonderweb is great for hemming
Well I'm still not sure of my current spend total, tried on the Superdry t-shirt today and was really disappointed, it was really boxy and just didn't do anything for me, so £22 going back.
Popped into primarni, they had the coral skinny jeans I was after - but got them home and OH thinks they are too clingy (I'm inclined to agree) so will reutrn those and try and find a pair that doesn't cut the circulation in my legs (sure if I try on another pair in there, they will prob be a totally diff fit) it's a shame as i like the material and they were only £11. Bought a few vest tops in there (FINALLY found some potential replacements to the white t-shop ones I have that are so worn they are getting holes) bought size 6 (as they had them for a change) but not sure if toooo clingy, so got an 8 in one of the colours too to try at home. Oh, also bought a pair of Chinos, tried those on at home (too hot in store by that time) and they look awful, so £33 spent, at least £23 to return)
Oh...but I did buy some lovely Kenneth Cole sunglasses in TKMaxx for £14.99
Can declare a freedom day for yesterday though, went to a gig and wore a ben sherman top I've only worn once or twice and had for years - actually not sure if I really still like it, so it might go in the 'out' pile.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
