First "freedom" day yesterday - a coat that now fits found amongst the spare room clutter. More freedom days to come as I've de-cluttered my wardrobe so that everything in it fits. If I don't want to wear it now, it goes straight to the charity shop.0

Hi
I realise I am a little late but could I join this challenge please? I have loads of clothes that I never wear mainly because they do not fit, however I am starting a diet and trying to lose weight so hope to be able to get into them. If I limit what I can buy it might help me. I will set £100 please... that is so much lower than I normally spend ..... this will be a huge difference for me but I am determined to give it a go.
Good luck everyone and thank you :T0 -
Have some more spends to declare:o. I was in town as I worked overtime this morning and went for a good mooch and try on in Deben*ams as I still had a voucher and loved everything I tried on..all Oas*s and all the smallest size I've been able to wear for a LONGGG time. I decided it would be me starting to get my Spring/summer/holiday wardrobe together:D. So I got a lovely floral print fitted shift dress that my OH bought for me as a gift:T because he's lovely that was £45 instead of £65 (I'm not counting that in my budget). A Spring weight coat in red that fits like a dream for £48. A loose cream blouse/top with black cutwork embroidery for £20 instead of £40 to wear with a floral Top Shop skirt I already have. It will also go with jeans/trousers so I do need a pair still for summer that fit me as all mine are too large to even alter to fit me. And a lovely nude lace and silky vintage style blouse/top that was £46 but matches a skirt I bought from a CS over a year ago like they were bought to go together. I know I will wear all these alot and they match other things in my wardrobe so I'm really pleased.
Must get on e*ay and get selling my clothes that don't fit me anymore to offset my spending.
looking at my buys what I need now are a couple of little cardi's, scarves, a pair of denim or navy cropped trousers and a pair of sandals- maybe a couple of Tshirts.
Today I wore the cute star print monsoon skirt I bought a couple of weeks ago with a grey Tee I bought ages ago for £1 in MnS sale and my trusty grey cardi that is getting past it's best and is somewhat too large for me :T. With my bargonious lacy up clumpy boots .Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

Hey all,
some lovely bargainous spends going on by the sounds of things.
Hello & welcome to our newest recruits natlie & new leaf 88 :hello:. I'll add you both to the members list.
I'm taking DD shopping tomorrow as she's in need of new pyjamas. I'll be going to primani first as I like their cheap & cheerful nightware stuff, might have a browse for myself, but only have £25 cash left out of my money, the rest is in my clothes account. I'm putting £30 each month into the same account for DDs clothing, so that should help me budget for her as well
I do have an ebay bid on a long cardi, but it doesn't end for a few days & I do have £3 survey earnings in my paypal account which is additional to my budget.
I'll be back tomorrow to report any spends0 -
£8 on a bright orange/red top in a fab size 10 for me today from A*d* L*ving today. Surprisingly nice top to replace my very faded jumper in the same colour which is being retired at the end of winter this year as I've patched it up as much as I can with repairs and its time to go now as the colour is fading after 4yrs. A good long lasting jumper which has been worn many many many times.
Let's hope the new one lasts as long!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Another freedom day today but it nearly ended in disaster! I wore a black velvet and lace Monsoon skirt which I bought in the sale a long time ago. I decided that it was almost too big and that I'd wear it before it went to the charity shop. I went to town and spent most of the day holding onto the waistband to stop it falling down. After one narrow escape I went to M&S to buy a new skirt!
Fortunately I decided I could manage til I got home and spent £90 on two pairs of Monsoon jeans instead (one blue, one red). Very pleased with jeans - they fit well and are three sizes smaller than the ones I wore in August. Also bought tights and holdups (£22).
That takes my total up to £158.500 -
balance left from budget £358...writing this down as just trawled through posts cos forgot whjat I had spent!
off to town tomorrow for the first time since I was ill in jan.We are going to see Giselle at night and Dh wants to buy some clothes so having an early dinner(using 2 for 1 Carluccios code:))last 2 times we went man shopping I ended up paying for a suit, tie and underpants for him:mad::mad::mad::mad:determined not to pay tomorrow as a bit (lot:rotfl:) of an overspend last month on credit cards:eek::eek::eek::eek:I am taking back a nightie to White company (bought 2 in different sizes)and have a free coupon for handcream so hiopoe there is some left at L;occitanne but will try not to buy anything else:rotfl:0 -
I've managed so far to not buy anything this month but it's been really hard. I've seen several things I want but am trying desperately to resist. I do have some money I made on eBay which I could use, but I'd prefer not to.
I've been going straight home from work to avoid the shops but I still browse online so know what's out there :rotfl:
I'm glad I'm doing this challenge though as I am having to think before I buy. The fact I've spent nearly half my budget 6 or 7 weeks into the year tells me I have spent too much for too long. Unfortunately I don't really like cheap clothes anymore, but I'm just going to have to force myself to wait for the sales later in the year *sits on hands*0 -
off dancing tonight,we are the youngest there by about 20 years(and I am 57!!!!) but the people are lovely and always dress up so I am off upstairs to crave the cold and choose something glam to wear after days(seems like months!!!) of thick tights under warm trousers, layers of jumpers, jackets, gloves and boots.
went to church today and a woman there had bare feet and sandels:eek::eek::eek::eek:think she has a problem as she said she was not cold(I had thick tights and boots)0
