  • Morning All :)
Well managed to return £71 worth of my spends so far, one shop would only give a credit voucher, so kept one top & credit for the other. Got a couple days off work now so return the remainder and finally sort my wardrobe out and apply for more jobs. Will declare spends once got a final amount.

On a plus a few items have a freedom day...black woolly tights under my trousers, my new coral coloured top and a long necklace I dug out. I actually feel better for wearing brighter clothes :), I wear black cause its easy!

    Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

    EH!

Yes I watched that, it did make me sad for the girls, I feel quite lucky that I was never subjected to that sort of pressure.

I'm having a bit of a freedom day, wearing a navy blouse and paler blue cardi with the ubiquitous jeans. I even dug out a necklace! DD said I looked nice :) but no-one at work has noticed - but they are all men :rotfl:I do feel more smart though

trying_2_b_good how did the interview go?

    Rx

ps - not sure that freedom day worked - I was cold all day rotfl

    how do all

I haven't spent anything else so far :D:D cos I haven't been out of the house for 3 days due to the snow (have a bit of a balance problem due to recurrent ear infection) and the paths being so slippery.

So, having a freedom day with a body warmer I discovered underneath a coat and its fab cos it fits over my fleece (am I painting a pretty picture??) and some black jersey trousers which I liberated from under some jeans.

Have got to go out tomorrow as I need milk and LLmilk on cereals is just not cutting it.

Any news on that interview trying 2 b good????

  • Have had a splurge in the sales! Arghhhh! Got a new job out of the blue and needed some smart clothes!spent 111 quid on 2 pairs trousers 1 jumper 1 blouse a duffle coat necklace ,pair of pumps and a couple of vest tops! All reduced in T shop. Reduced from 290! I know i,m trying to convince myself here but I thought looking smart might land me more hours and help make a good impression with my new boss! As these are the first work clothes I have ever bought. As I have always had a uniform i,m not going to include them in my ccc budget for this year...is that allowed?

I was reading a blog a couple of months ago and it had a picture of Britney Spears and a airbrushed one. It put me in total shock. In the first one she just looked like a normal woman, just like me and in the other she looked like a stick to beat myself up with :(

Its shocking and makes woman feel so bad about themselves. And I am a full grown and mature (:p) woman, how young girls navigate all that I don't know

    Morning all!

Kind of a freedom day today, found a green/silver scarf scrunched up in the wardrobe to brighten up my white jumper/black trousers outfit. Need to buy some new undies very soon, DH says if I got run over by a bus tomorrow, my mother would cringe at the state of them (they are clean though!):rotfl:

Tried on those elusive grey trousers that are waiting to be slimmed into. They almost fit...give it another 2 weeks or so hopefully:)
  • Hi all

I can report no spend since last week. Feeling very proud :D

    Hi His missus

Have you thought about dying them? I have been watching the Superscrimpers on channel 4 and one of the lady said she dyes hers once they go silly grey in the wash. I have never ever tried that , but thinking of giving it a go :-)

Hi Bubble - it's not so much they're grey and faded, more that the elastic is going, going, gone, wires are peeking through and they generally look baggy and offer no support whatsoever :D

was nearly bad today...saw a lovely bra and pants set but when I tried it on the bra was about 4 inches short in the back:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:I always buy freya/fantasie(same make) and this was triumph and way too small, there were bigger sizes but as I was with a friend I did not want to trawl through them all.
also tried on boots as my last pair of short ones died but only size 7 and too small for my big feet:(then tried a coat as £50 down from £235....i know why as sizing awful,I am usually a 14/16 but needed a 20:eek:to fit the bust and it was too big on the hips:(....so no buys for me,all I got was a box of hankies for DH!

When i got home and checked online about a parcel that was due it said put on the van 7 am back at depot 5 pm yesterday!!!I was in all day and no card was put through so very annoyed and I called and the girl said there was a query about the address????which was correct so God knows what the driver was doing, now I have to wait in again tomorrow:mad::mad::mad:
