    Hello gorgeous ladies,

sorry it's taken me so long to get around to adding new members :o

Hello & Welcome to bubble32 & Verynewmoneysaver  lovely to have you along with us :T.

Antwacky - hello I've seen a couple of your posts, but wasn't sure if you were just popping in to chat as people do, or if you want to be a full member with an official number ? Please let me know if you do & how much you want your budget to be & I'll allocate you your very own line on the first page :D.

I'm really pleased you're enjoying this thread actually 2006, it's always been friendly & although I may have been a bit bossy on past threads :o I realise that it's just easier to let people set their own budgets as everyone's needs & lifestyles are so different :).

It's great to see that some of you ( Lianne & oldtractor - you are shining examples, keep up the good work girls ;)) have still resisted all spends so far :A.

I was doing really well but gave in to an urge or two today :o. I decided to blow the £25 gift money I have on some pretty new undies from figleaves. With delivery, the order came to £25.50 so I've used 50p from my Challenge budget.

Earlier in the week I spotted a fab little dress on the joe browns site ... but I really hate paying their costly delivery charge so have been resisting. I spotted the same dress on their ebay outlet yesterday & the dress is more, but the delivery cheaper, so essentially the same total cost, but it just feels better that way:rotfl:.

Anyway, today I received notification that a payment had been made to my paypal account for a survey I completed, so I decided it was an omen that I should buy the dress from ebay rather than their regular site which doesn't accept paypal payments :p. Total cost including delivery was £20.95 but minus the £3 paypal it cost me £17.95.

    So I've done £18.45p of my budget already & only have £81.55p & a £25 M&S gift card left ...

Need to keep myself busy so I cant go online browsing :D

Avoid all shops this weekend, ! Go for a walk, swim or read a book instead.

Do some clothes sorting & mending, try out new buttons, add a corsage or brooch, put completely new outfits together, wear a string of beads as a belt or vice versa. Mix it up & most of all, have fun :j

Clothes spend now at £19. The lure of the charity shops got too much! Got 2 pairs wool trousers, 2 jeans and a lovely wrap dress which all fit much better than my now slightly too loose regular ones (gym must be working:j:j)

Have also been sorting the wardrobe and freed a few items. Embarrassed to say I also found a couple of things I had no recollection of owning:eek:. So plan for next couple of weeks is to sort through, get rid of the dross and then make up new outfits. I might even catalogue it so I don't forget again!

Lula-Hula I'd love to be an official member please! Can you put me down for £0 spend this year. I know it sounds unrealistic but I had my major wardrobe reshuffle last year when I lost weight so I really don't need to buy anything this year.

I've been a lurker for years and have only just been brave enough to post on this thread as it seemed so friendly!:)

just dropping in to say i'm still at zero spends. So proud!
Was debt free then ex walked out and COVID hit.
  • Hello all. No spends to report am resisting going out. Had contemplated the carboot this morning but resisted. I think after doing the cleaning I will sort through my wardrobe and summery items and start planning what I need for my holiday in April. Hopefully not too much as I am now smaller in size and fit some clothes I haven't been able to wear for 2 years so they will be like new to me:j. I have a few things I am planning on altering/ reworking as they are now too huge so may attempt something today.

my windsmoor torsers arrived today all beautifully wrapped with new tags on and no one will have tried them on/handles them as from the store.so my total spend so far is for £89(phase eight) plus £29(windsmoor)plus £3 postage for phase eight minus quidco of £10 ish so total out of the £500 is £111(I think!!!!) so £389 left.

btw a new series of superscrimper starts on monday.

of course I meant trousers not torsers!!!!...wish we had spell check on this!!

  • I liked the Superscrimpers series but some of the people were just tragic and stingy...Believe me, I'm MSE....I'm using coupons for some of my shopping later today and I always look for BOGOFs and yellow stickers in the supermarket but some people take it too far!!
