Thanks Lula-Hula! I think i'll keep this for a while, if i see something i like i have to 'earn' it lol, and i might re consider something if it's so much hassle :-)0

If you mean continue with the challenge, then yes of course - Nobody leaves :D
If you mean continue 'cheating' by using money earned from selling old stuff then I think that is your choice to make, depending on whether the money would really be better spent elsewhere.
But if by selling your stuff you are then not using 'real' money, then it seems to be a sensible way to go, far better than just overspending.
I think that if we all have a little spend each month, then it becomes something to look forward to, a treat rather than just something we do, without being mindful about it.
Just my own thoughts though
buying clothes is not just about needing/wanting new things for me.i love getting a bargain and the search for a new thing is often better than actually having it in the wardrobe.I had a friend who would go shopping in john Lewis and have a whole load of stuff delivered then send it back as the buying was the thing that did it for her :rotfl:I have been more convinced than ever this year that shops vastly overcharge in the 1st place to be able to sell things for 70% off or even more. When new stock comes in I look at my fav shops and even try things on but then wait a few weeks as I know they will go down sooooo much and as we tend to wear the same things for years not weeks it does not make much difference if we buy things a few weeks later. The new Lauras Ashley catalogue came last week and could not believe that some items are already less than half price online(plus a 20% off coupon that does not start till Feb was sent with it.....just wish the bedding I want had matching curtains rather than a different colour!!!cannot understand that at all.0 -

Completely with you on that one Rosemary54.
Immie 8 items for under £30 is good shopping - offsetting your spending with ebay selling is a popular way to offset the shopping urges - no guilt shopping :j
I'm concentrating on fitting into the existing wardrobe I have (it does span 4 sizes!) and enjoying "freeing" items I haven't been able to fit into or have been forgotten about, so far this is working for me and I'm still on £0. Combined with the grocery challenge where I often would come out with clothes from Mr S this is helping to control the urges!0 -
I have a lovely long weekend off work this week so am having a lovely moochy afternoon in the town today, browsing and trying things on. I love to do this and haven't been able to since I started back work full-time so it will be a real treat. I have a Debs Voucher left from christmas so I will be spending that if I do spend anything . Although I am going for a good trawl round all the CS's as haven't done that for a while either so may find a bargain or 2..or not.
This morning I am going to get a few bits photographed for fleabay selling..will list tonight and any money I make will be spent on walking/outdoor clothing for my summer holiday doing the west highland way and won't be counted as using my budget.
Am also planning a trip to Edinburgh on Saterday as DD is going to Barcelona in a few weeks and needs to get a few bits to top up her wardrobe. So hopefully won't be tempted myself as will be buying for her.Grocery challenge October: £228.28/£250.00 NSD 4 ( not completed)

First clothes spend of the year...£12 on a Matalan shirt. I didn't NEED it, but I wanted it! However, need to retry it on to triple check that I still want it! I'm off to Center Parcs tomorrow, and I think I just wanted something new to wear in front of husband's fashionable family!
Lula - great tip a few pages back to immediately return any items you don't love. I'm going to have to remember that one! Do you know I have some things in my wardrobe that still have tags on that I bought this time last year (and earlier!!). So if I don't wear something within the return date then I absolutley HAVE to remember to return it!!Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

i decided i didn't really like my new boots and necklace, rather than pay to send them back i'm gonna put them away to give to my mum for xmas, so that free's up £10 of my budget
i decided not to include any ebay/facebook site sales and transfer this straight to my savings once it clears, after all i am trying to save a smuch as possible not make excuses to spend more, i won't include swaps that i do thoDEC GC £463.67/£450

I agree NGlady - I can't get on with primarni leggings, it has to be H&M for me...
I have no more spends to declare but my boss was having a clear out as they're moving soon, and has been donating stuff to all the girls who are of a similar size at work! So I now have a t0psh0p denim skirt, two t0psh0p tops and a wh!te stuff wool/mohair/alpaca long sleeved shrug... all except the shrug are a smidgeon big but will be fine for summer/hols, I tend to spend most of the summer looking like a particularly scruffy hippy anyway... good job I don't work anywhere that requires me to be smart! :rotfl:“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Hi all bought myself a baseball cap on sale at Tesco's for £3.50.
My last one died several years ago and needed one every since.
Bagged a bargin as it's a men's rugby cap from last years cup (I dont care as long as the sun doesnt blind me!) not much chance of that at the moment. Role on better weather:j
