Hello everyone!
I am still at £0/£400.
Unfortunately, at some point in the next two weeks, this will change as i will need to purchase a couple of sports bras to replace those that are looking very sorry for themselves.
I will also be purchasing another pair of work boots, as i start training for my new job next month . Only got the good news in the post yesterday:j.
Once again, thank you Lula-Hula for creating this challenge as i am finding it very helpful so far. I am actually noting down what really needs replacing in my wardrobe and wearing clothes that i haven't worn or seen in years...
Bye for now...

I bought a short coat yesterday - half price (£40 instead of £80). I'm really pleased with it as I'll get a lot of wear out of it this year, but hopefully it won't fit me next year! I'm not counting it as part of my clothing budget - it's coming out of my birthday money.
I'm very impressed with those of you setting your budgets at £0!!0 -
Hi! *waves*
I'm a poor student (3 years undergrad and 1 year PGCE) and I don't have much spare money at all!!
I'm hoping to move out Sep/Oct (if I secure a job) with the bf who also graduates this year. We're umming and ahhing about a mortgage (he has a deposit) but either way, I need some cash just in case.
So!! I'm going to join in the challenge because although I don't have loads of clothes, I have enough. I definitely have enough dresses!!
I'm going to have a go at a £150 budget for the year excluding gifted money/vouchers.
Oh and I will need a suit for interviews but my mum has said she will pay for that so that's ok
Right, I wonder how I will do...

Evening all!
Still resisting the urge. I'm sure, now I owe my catalogue nothing, they are trying to suck me back in, I seem to be receiving twice as many catalogues. Feeling like I need to buy a few jumper type tops for work. My blouses are looking a tiny bit baggy and scruffy and I think I could get away with jumpers looking baggy but still smart as I lose weight. May pop to Matalano one lunchtime this week. Got a Mr S grocery delivery this week so won't be heading to a supermarket.
Oh, does anyone know if Next sizes 22+ are a good/generous fit? Apparently they only sell them online and I don't want to get sucked into catalogue shopping again.0 -
Howdy all, just a flying visit to see how everyone has been progressing?
Glad to say I have not bought a single item since my little spend 10 days ago.
I have half a bin liner of clothes to go to the recycling point at some stage this week. I would like to think that I can fill the whole sack. There are plenty of things that I no longer wear and are just cluttering up my already congested wardrobe.
stay well

Crazy Clothing Challenge 2015 £48.58/£200 :eek:0 -
Had to get a new pair of trousers today as the ones I have at the mo have a hole in(have already repaired once).
And a pair of mules shoes total £27.50.
Previous £10 was for knickers.
Cant see myself needing much in the next 3-6 months as have loads of spring/summer tops.
Hope everyone is doing ok.0 -
Bought another two day dresses on fleabay this weekend, for £16.19
Which means it's totally sc#?!ed the £20 a month budget , but i think i'll be sneaky and not declare it as a spend... Paid for these with paypal funds from selling an old coat, dress and bra lol :j
So official clothes spend £21.70 /£20 for January
'one in one out' clothes spend, using money raised from clearing out old clothes:
£13.70+£16.19= £29.89
Got 8 things with it :T
So i'm cheating the rules but it feeds the habit... Should i continue?0 -
Got rid of 20 pairs of too big knickers, 2 shredded by the cats dressing gowns, 1 pair of slippers and a belt today.
Have washed and freed 2 dressing gowns found in the Christmas clear out so feeling rather chuffed!LBM Feb 2005 - £36000:o DFD 28th May 2012

If you mean continue with the challenge, then yes of course - Nobody leaves :D
If you mean continue 'cheating' by using money earned from selling old stuff then I think that is your choice to make, depending on whether the money would really be better spent elsewhere.
But if by selling your stuff you are then not using 'real' money, then it seems to be a sensible way to go, far better than just overspending.
I think that if we all have a little spend each month, then it becomes something to look forward to, a treat rather than just something we do, without being mindful about it.
Just my own thoughts though0
