Haven't been on in a while but have managed not to buy clothes in that time which is a miracle for me!

The sunny weather has spurred me into a clear out but i took a half bag of clothes to one of those cash for clothes places and to be honest i got £2 for it - and there were some lovely clothes in it too! i think in future i should try n sell them on ebay - but then with all the new postage costs and then packaging is it worth the hassle? I think i'd rather just give the old clothes to charity for all the cash you get anyway but thats not very moneysaving expert i guess.
Have fun in the sun ! Moggy

Moggy Malone - if you have any good quality or branded clothes, I'd give them a try on ebay. it can be hit and miss but DH's just sold an old dress of mine (hardly worn but no longer fits) and got £30 for it. If you make sure you work out the postage costs accurately before you sell on ebay, you should make a bit of money.

Moggy - have you considered a car boot for selling clothes that aren't necessarily designer but perfectly acceptable and are in decent condition? I've sold a few things on eBay but tbh only use it for really good stuff now, and find it a lot easier to sell general high street items at a CB, even if it's £1 - £2 an item if you share a pitch with a friend you'll soon cover your entrance fee and it's a lot quicker than all the eBay faff.

Well I've really spoiled myself this week... my photo shoot outfit has arrived, the dress needs a little alteration and the angel wings should prove an interesting challenge to move in. I also purchased two new sports tops - not being included in the budget as they were much needed - but did end up with a pair of non-sports shorts as well :o Although they were reduced to £6.99 and i've had them on today so a successful buy me thinks. Sorry, rambling now, will let you know total once it's all updated.

Oh dear, am almost up to the budget maxxxed out

It was because after the weight loss last year, I reached the point where clothes were way too big and needed to buy new.

The budget needs increasing from £250 as only have £3 left - will have a think about how much by, maybe +£100?

I freed up 2 pairs of shorts I haven't worn for years and years and years.

They fit perfectly now and one pair is a little big but the biggest thing is they have been freed up proudly and I wore them out in public also for the first time in a long long time, so long I can't remember when I last wore a pair out in public without a care in the world!

    Bring on the Freedom days!

Thanks for selling tips - hadn't thought about car boot sale! good idea. I'm freeing up lots of my summer gear this week - may the sunshine continue! :)

PS. i know about the weightloss problem - but i find its cheaper to get someone to alter my clothes for me cuz they don't charge a lot of money for that and it means you still have heaps of clothes

    Have fun, moggy :)
