Payday tomorrow and plan to go shopping onSaturday as I need some t-shirts/tops for when we go on holiday in a couple of weeks. Hoping not to spend more than £50 though, we'll see...0

Spent £27 of birthday money on some bits and pieces from X Catalogue shop, including a lovely little Joe Brown's crinkle sundress that I'm going to wear as a tunic top.
It's handwash, but is also non-iron, being crinkle. It was £11.24, original price was £38.
I also got a gorgeous sloppy T-shirt in khaki with diamante detailing, £6 from £20, two pairs of slop around the house joggers and a lime green waistcoat for £1.49 (originally £15).
Not sure if this counts, being birthday money, but £44 left for the rest of the year.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... 2 pairs p.js and
2 tops (one for work, one not)
Total incl P&P = 39.19 (full price would've been 68.50 so am feeling virtuous:A)
Runniing total for year = £270.48/£300 :eek:

Have had a little spend for May, well quite a big spend really, on summer sale clothes as not much still fits me from last year after losing weight and the summer clothing audit I did to check on what fits and what doesn't.
Collecting the last few items this weekend and I'll update the costs and budget then and I'm sure I'll be over budget or nearly there. Never mind, I've picked them carefully to see if I will wear them and to make sure they will last more than a year so long as I don't put lots of weight back on!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

Some bargain spending there mcculloch :T I think it's up to you to decide whether you want to include birthday money as part of your budget. I wouldn't though as it's not my money I'm spending, it's someone else's. They could have bought you a top instead of giving you money and you wouldn't have counted that towards your clothes budget...0 -
18 days & no clothes shopping, that is a record for me!
I'm impressed with myself & my will power, have walked round the shops with stuff to buy, then put back and walked out! Maybe I just need to stay away from shops in the first place!

So I have evaluated the orders I've made recently and I've decided to keep most of it!
New Look;
Blue Dress £10
Black Dress £10 (same style as the blue one)
Maroon Dress £6
Blue slouchy top £6
Returned an orange dress that is a bit more neon than I would have liked! So now have a £10 credit to New Look and will probably end up getting some new black trousers or leggings.
H+M;
Blue Fancy top £3.99
Black Fancy Top £3.99
Skinny Black Belt £3.99
Grey Floaty Scarf £3.99
Red Cardigan £5.99
Navy Cardigan £7.99
6 Pack of Earrings £2.99
Made another 2 H+M orders for sale stuff and because I had some discount codes!
Total £64.93 for quite a lot of stuff that I will get a lot of wear out of and will fit with stuff I already have!
Makes my total for the year at £191.84/£500!Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Well done on the new job and the bargains you got Ruby_eskimo!!
I am confessing to £8 spent on a new pair of flat shoes from Primark, I haven't bought anything for ages so not feeling bad! Takes my spend for the year to £81/£100
I find it quite easy to resist the shops at this time of year because they are full of summer stuff. Living in Scotland I have learnt from experience that its all wasted money! If I have a holiday abroad again I would literally need to buy a whole summer wardrobe, eeek!
I didn't count my birthday money in the challenge And, otherwise I would have busted my budget on the new trainers I got!No more buying unnecessary toiletries 2018

Hey guys, I need a little bit of advise....
today i ordered a few things online - firstly an outfit for a photoshoot I have coming up consiting of:
dress - £19.60
wings (don't ask) - £7 odd (these were paid for from my Paypal account)
secondly I purchased a new vest top for pole class - much needed as one I have was bought in 2007, and the other is very much on it's last legs too. I also bought another performance top from the same place which I've had my eye on for ages, and made sense to get in the same order to maximise the payment of postage costs. Total spend £31.90
I am tempted not to count exercise outfits and performance clothing as part of my budget since a) any purchase of performance wear will be for a specific theme / purpose b) based on the evidence above I'm deff not one for splurging unecessarily on sports wear and only buy when I really need to.
Is this cheating or overall acceptable? Thoughts on a postcard please
ps just to add, I will still be keeping notes on my sporty spends so it's not an open cheque book :AFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Hi Kerri
I haven't included sports gear in my total, as I was worried I'd end up doing less exercise if I had the excuse I couldn't afford the clothes :rotfl: and I didn't want to add extra to my overall budget.
I still add it to the spreadsheet but don't include it in my challenge sig. So far I've been pretty well behaved - though have only been going in TK Macs as I don't see the point in spending lots on sports stuff unless it's shoes or has to be waterproof!
