I know that my sister still has some of my late Mum's dresses up in her loft, they were made c. 1948. I've got a leather 'hippie hat' that I've had since I was 17, which makes it 36 years old.
I have a nightdress that was bought in 1985 and a top that Mum bought me c. 1988. The top is a polo style shirt in royal blue with a red Welsh dragon emblem.
I've also got a pair of good quality leather trousers that were s/h in 1993, there's no label and they could be any age but I suspect they are from the mid Eighties. I refuse to get rid of them but I'll be amazed if I ever fit in them again.

can't believe I still have £322 left out of my £500:Athink it must be something to do with the weather as still in winter clothes and can see not point in buying any summer ones as lots of stuff in the wardrobe, have got my eye on the East bronze sandels and need a new brown bag(may look at jones shoes as there is a coupon in woman and home june issue(25% off I think)
did wear my new white John rochas top with turquoise and orange print with my turquoise pants and an orange shrug at weekend but was abit disapointed with it as seemed a bit baggy round the bust so will need to wear over a cami in future

That's the problem, isn't it? I should be unearthing the nice linen drawstring trousers but am still in corduroy:D And they aren't at their best:o

I have a confession of £23 to make due to an unscheduled visit to TK Maxx. Technically it was on workout clothes and therefore shouldn't count, but in order to maximise the guilt factor and workout motivation I'm declaring it here :rotfl:

  • Argh - succumbed to a t-shirt in New Look. Shouldn't have gone in! it was only £6 - got a cute bulldog in a crown and English bow tie - special for the Royla Jubilee! His little doggy face just spoke to me and told me I had to buy him. The quality of the material and cut aren't great, but ok for £6 and I know I'll wear it a lot on chilled out weekends.

All the clothes I normally only wear at the start and end of winter - long not too thick cardis, light polo necks, heavy blouses - are still very much in wear. Every time I look out of the window it's raining, we had the most ferocious hailstorm earlier.
The race meeting I was kinda hoping to attend this weekend (to watch a horse I have a share in) has been abandoned. Boo hiss.
On the plus side it's too wet to go shopping, not worth getting soaked to the skin for anything and my Drizabone coat is difficult to cycle in.

Not checking in for a while, but have got a new job! Cue lots of clothes buying because I have a uniform for my current job but my new one is in an office. I have a few bits and pieces that would work but have ordered a few things from the New Look and H+M sales that I can mix and match. Will update you all when it arrives and see what I'm going to keep!
