Ha ha, exactly that with the steps mccullough
I very nearly came a cropper in the gallery ... it's all about the recovery though, I did a semi pirouette as though my attention had been grabbed by something behind me :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Nice save :rotfl: :rotfl:
I saved £59 today by buying a lovely blouse reduced from £79 to £20. I'm not sure I've quite got the hang of this yet:rotfl:
I've been looking for a blouse to wear with my lovely grey wool pinafore dress for ages but it's nearly summer and I'm not sure I needed it. Oh well. Off to update sig, hangs head in shame. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
10 days must be the longest time that I have gone without buying an item of clothing!
I am re-setting my budget at £500 but would like to come in at 3. £100 was far too unrealistic.
I have had a sort through the summer stash and have fallen in love with some of last years faves. Roll on sunshine.
Unlikely to get much of a holiday this year as I need to concentrate on getting Evolution Cottage looking less like a dump and more like a home. Decluttered another bag of clothes, handbags and general chod that was taking up valuable room.
keep up the good work all.
I will get round to updating my signature soon

I have got one if anyone wants it - PM me, but remember you have to spend £80 or more on non-sale stock to get the £20 off.0 -
I think my spend on leggings from NL might well have been justified, I put on my original pair to go out in on sat....knelt down to do my hair, stood up and hey presto! Nora Batty knees! leggings consigned to the bin (they have been good servants) and old primarni ones worn instead but they are on their way out too. Only unsure about the NL ones because I do like them (they are cotton rich ones) BUT Primarni ones are cheaper (but not cotton rich)....oh decisions decisions....Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

kerri - I always go with the ones that are think enough. I don't like it when black leggings are stretched too far and are too thin so a bit see through IYKWIM
Lula - how many years have you been doing this challenge? I tend to find I do well every other year (on 3rd year now). It's hard to go for 2 years without buying lots, but I can happliy cope with things that are 1 year old. That said, at the weekend I was wearing a cardi I got in 2007 and I still love it!
What's the oldest thing you guys own and still wear (that you would leave the house in!)?? I have some work trousers that are 10 years old and in better nick than some I've had for 6 months! They're a great, thick material that doesn't bobble. They're also lined which I think helps. Only from Miss Selfridge too!
Also, I got lots of washing done at the weekend and took the opportunity to sort out my underwear drawers. Is it normal to have over 50 pairs of knickers and over 40 pairs of socks?Virtual Sealed Pot Challenge #148 - £59.93

A cotton summer dress I bought when I was 15 (I'm 36 now). I wore it last summer and one of the assistants in my favourite cosmetics shop asked where I got it... I had to explain it was [STRIKE]ancient[/STRIKE] vintage and only realised after I left that the dress was probably older than she was :rotfl:
At least I don't need to wear a Wonderbra with it any more

well my shoes turned up today and I'm not 100% sure with them, they are a bit lighter than I expected (must start allowing for that when I order online - must be my laptop resolution) BUT they are really comfy and well made.
think the oldest thing I have that I still wear is a t-shirt my best friend bought me back from a trip to the US when we were 16. I used to wear it to gigs we went to all the time. Since then she's moved to Oz and I wear it as a pj top - makes me feel a bit closer to her, and reminds me of good times together.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

ohh errr this ol' nutmeg again:) Mine has to be a very purple, black, white flowery/paisley shirt bought in London when I as a Sixth form art student -am now in my mid forties-have mended it on several occasions(and it really is looking pretty tired, but I love it) and when I am feeling very boho I pull it out -just thinking I might take it to Leeds Fest this year!
But I also have in my wardrobe a mint green linen shift mini dress with a huge grey and white rose pattern down centre which belonged to my late Mum -I can sadly no longer get into it but I have worn it for a sixties night a couple of years ago and my Dad has photos of Mum wearing it long before I came along,so guess it must be about 50 years old - but it's not worn often!DD's have asked me to keep it "just in case" they need it!It's quiet nice having it in my wardrobe:)
But I do use one of her evening bags and long gloves still if I go to a posh do and that was from the 1970's if that counts!Crazy Clothes Challenge 2012 £57.20/£100,CCC 2013 £68.67/£100 ,CCC 2014 £94.32/£100

oh wow debbie, the dress sounds fab. I do have a pair of my mum's shoes she bought when she was prob younger than me from Ravel - they are lovely but a size too big sadly. Also have a pair of her hotpants which she wore after I was born....not sure i could get into them though! I think it's a bit sad that these days clothes are so 'disposable' that we prob won't have things like that to pass down.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Morning all!
A few bank holiday purchases to admit to - pink hoody and pair of jeans from Debs (20% sale mind you) and pair of jeans from New LooooK in sale. I really needed to get some jeans that fit me though...
Another £70 added to my total!0
