Managed to resist a lovely skirt in East today it was £75  I'm sure I could make one for less. Anyway with the weather we're having I'm still in woollies :(
the thing with East is wait a few weeks and either they have a 20% off sale or there is a coupon in a mag...don't think I ever pay full price there:)I was a bit annoyed over the weekend as there was a 20% off online accessories inc shoes BUT the shoes I wanted that were instore were only in 1 colour online and not even my size:((would have bought both colours...gold and bronze and a bag if they had been)
  • I am going to aim for no clothes buying in May, spending got a bit out of control at mo so a complete ban on using the credit card, have worked out a budget for the month and going to make every effort to stick to it! Unfortunately doesn't stretch to clothes :( EH xx

I am really chaffed: I had a near purchase experience on Saturday, but I managed to get out of the shop before it was too late. Its my fault: it was real cold and I had to wait for someone to pick me up at the station ( next to Debenhams) and thought i must get a jumper or I freeze to death , but luckily just a I was in the queue to pay , he arrived, so I left it there at the desk.:D
So this makes April a NO SPEND (on clothes) MONTH !!!:j:j I dont think I ever had one before.
Now I am going to aim for another this month.
    CC consolidated to £3400
    Loan[STRIKE] £12770[/STRIKE] £7150

As I won’t buy anything between now and the end of the day – I’ve got less than 90 minutes to go ;) – I can declare that April is also a no spend month for me :j, so 2012 running totals remain:-

    Cash – £0/150 spent
House Of Fraser Vouchers – £36/122
    M&S Vouchers – £0/50

    NSFeb
    NSMar

    NSApr

Will be looking at House Of Fraser over the next couple of weeks to see if there’s anything worthwhile, and that I need, in their sale that I can use my vouchers for.

Lula-Hula – please can I have the ‘happy clappy’ No Spend symbol for February as well as April – thanks (I’ve already got the March one)
May contain nuts. Your mileage may vary. Batteries not included. Thanks to all posters :D

I've done it! A No Spend on clothes for April!
Unfortunately April was a quiet month work-wise so, fortunately, I guess, for this thread, this is likely to continue.
I get paid a month in arrears - sometimes six weeks- so March's money hasn't arrived yet, which is a very, very good incentive not to spend.
I have bought a display screen for my earrings though. They are very good, wish I'd bought one the first time I saw it now - which was a few years ago. No more 'hunt the other one' or two hours sorting out jewellery boxes.
Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.

Looking at my cc statement I'm declaring I spent £80 on clothes in April...oppsBra - £25 - not even worn yet.
2 pairs of cropped summer trousers, last yr's got worn loads and bit faded so these are smarter. - £50 total - these will last years if we ever get summer and it stops raining!
    Black fitted T-shirt - £5 - which wearing as a layer today.

Have you noticed I'm trying to justify my spending to myself! :)

Hurrah!!!!! Am rather pleased with myself as spent the weekend with my sister which usually results in a bit of a spend up - but I resisted!

Have had a reccy & a sort out and deduced that I need the following to keep me going for the rest of the year at work....
    • Winter trousers (sales here I come)
    • That burgandy top I saw (and resisted) yesterday ;)(might buy it tonight)
    • Lightweight trousers
    • 2 x Lightweight tops
    • Lightweight black cardi

and it mustn't come to more than £90 and some pennies

    fingers crossed
